Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like it here, and decide to stay.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert your name and timestamp, use (~~~~) (four tildes), or, to insert just your name, type (~~~) (three tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you may want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Good luck, have fun, and be bold! SchuminWeb (Talk) 04:19, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Gerrymandering Image
[edit]If you really really must replace the colors, please just reuse my original one and replace them - the background color changes and the nice arrow make the image that much nicer. I've relicensed it public domain so you can do as you please. Or redo it from scratch. Either way, it benefits from contrast and an arrow graphic like I gave.

Spelling Correction of Ptidepe
[edit]I believe, since sources differ in spelling, that both Ptidepe and Ptydepe are correct (see The Memorandum). VltavaMusicFanatic (talk) 11:39, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
An invitation to join WikiProject Ohio
[edit]Hi, you are listed under Category:Wikipedians in Ohio or one of its subcategories. WikiProject Ohio has been slowing down and we're looking for active Ohioans to turn that around! But first, let us introduce ourselves; we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to Ohio and we're sure there's somewhere you'll fit in just fine. The project's departments include article quality assessment: We have over 5,000 articles to assess for class alone, newsletter writing: This has been delayed by a few months, and new page patrolling: Which has also been slowing down. We also have a newly formed taskforce on our over 1,000 townships at WP:OHTWP.
We have 132 members, many of which are not active within the project. If you are listed there and still received this message please accept the auotmated porcess's apologies. If you are interested in joining us please list you name here. If you're not interested please note this is a one time invite and you will never hear from us again.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a message at our talkpage or with any member of the project, we'll be happy to answer any of your questions. We look forward to seeing you around!
