Good Morning David

I'm having trouble with going from the english page to the normal Wikipedia page:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library I can only go there if I go from todays exercise manual, but I do not know how to go there from the english open page. Please help please ––Dlangap2 (talk) 08:21, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The easiest way is to type it into the "search" box at the top righthand side of the page. As you type in the name of the page you're looking for, it will give you suggestions (e.g. type "Libr" and you'll see "Library" as an option.) Hope this helps! --Slashme (talk) 08:49, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Todays exercise

[edit]

Hello Again David

Thank you for your help, I am very delighted about this exercise because previously I used to be taken to this website when I'm googling some information about any topic. In all those times I never got exactly what I needed, but now I understand that it was because I did not understand how this encyclopedia works.Thank you for sharing this with us, I will definately pass this ability to my co workers and students.

I was able to open all the links and even search for some information, and I'm looking forward to tomorrows exercise. Tell me David do this edit page have the spelling check?

--Dlangap2 (talk) 12:29, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Phindile,
I'm glad you're getting along so well! As for the spelling check, that depends on your web browser. Some of them have a spelling check built into them; some don't. If it doesn't, you can check your spelling by cutting and pasting your text into a program that does have a spelling check. --Slashme (talk) 13:10, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello All

I looked at most of the articles I could and some are very interesting, but it is important to verify the sources. There are other references though that can not be debated like election results from valid election commissions. Some articles do not have sources and they have been like that for a long time. --Dlangap2 (talk) 10:26, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think that's a really good summary: well done! --Slashme (talk) 19:39, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Monday Date

[edit]

Hi D

I just like to point out that in the pre-workshop material you have the second Monday date wrong, it's supposed to be 22 October not 20 October. All Monday to Friday's dates please check if you haven't noticed already. --Dlangap2 (talk) 15:44, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!! I completely missed that! --Slashme (talk) 19:38, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
