Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
{{My sandbox}}
on your userpage.Sincerely, User:Crtew (talk) 18:16, 27 August 2013 (UTC) (Leave me a message)
First tasks
[edit]Congratulations, you completed all of the first tasks! Done Don't forget to sign your messages with four tildes (~), which is below the ESC key. Crtew (talk) 02:44, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
Adopt a journal project
[edit]Dkmarshall, You have been assigned Ahmed Ismail Hassan (click here to edit) as you are interested in sports. Crtew (talk) 21:24, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
Check request
[edit]Dkmarshall, I checked your references. Done It looks like you have the process down! Future tip: You can adjust the style of the citation in Reflinks from "web" to "news" for news sources. The Australian wasn't picked up by the tool because it's gone behind a paywall since it was first available. This is the type of article you can access through our library's database. It looks like you need to go into Lexis Nexis and add some references to your page to finish the assignment! So far, so good, Crtew (talk) 00:35, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
Second tasks
[edit]Dkmarshall, You have successfully run the reflinks tool and your sources are in good shape! I edited the one reference that is now behind a paywall. You can access that through Lexis Nexis without registering at the news site. Crtew (talk) 15:32, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
The image
[edit]The original source of the image was the Bahrain Center for Human Rights. I changed your sourcing from the blog to a page where BCHR had posted his photo. The cropped picture removes the matter that the blog had superimposed over his photo. Btw, a map is already posted on your page. Crtew (talk) 03:46, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
MAP
[edit]I know I added a map. Are you talking about the one I added or the one that was already one the page?
MAP
[edit]Thanks for making the update. Dkmarshall (talk) 04:07, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
Take a look at the code now. Crtew (talk) 05:52, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
