License tagging for Image:FAIRPORT 1.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:FAIRPORT 1.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:06, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Djbrei! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 140 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Glenn Hagan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Joseph Fornieri - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Sean Fine - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Murray Lundberg - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hello, Djbrei. I was wondering if you could help with this article you created years ago. It still needs references; I'd be grateful for any help you could offer. Regards, Markiewp (talk) 10:23, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for June 26
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Troy Uncle Sam Trojans, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Brophy. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disambiguation link notification for August 23
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Doc Edwards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eastern League (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of North Platte Indians
[edit]Hello Djbrei,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged North Platte Indians for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

[edit]Los Angeles Rough Riders moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Los Angeles Rough Riders, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. September 2022
[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Deaths in 2022, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Renewal6 (talk) 13:02, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Renewal6: Yawn. Really? I came here specifically because this is all over my feeds, yet I've searched several times and no RS appear. How can we call them "reliable" sources if a fetish for instant news is the order of the day among readers and they aren't stepping up to the plate to satisfy that desire? I already know the answer to that: legacy media is dying, yet this project continues to make itself increasingly dependent on such. It's why we have so many so-called "living people" who actually died years ago. Anyway, I'm on lunch break from work. When RS appears, can I expect that yourself or Refsworldlee (the other editor involved in attempting to scrub this) will exercise due diligence, or is that someone else's problem? I'll check back for the answer during my next break or after work. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 16:09, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- In the time it took me to write this, I already received my answer, which was just as I expected. Obstructionism intended to force the other guy to do all the real work = "building an encyclopedia"? "Asking for a friend". RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 16:13, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- For my part, Facebook is not a reliable source and, from what I can still see, never will be, due to the unpredictable nature of user accounts there. I made my edits to Deaths in 2022 and Lance Mackey on the basis of no RS at the time, and for that reason only. I have no agenda bar making sure that only reliable sources are used, and encouraging editors not to "jump the gun" on an entry purely because they saw it "stated" on their social media. He's passed, his article now shows that supported by a correct source, as does his entry restored to Deaths in 2022. All is as it should be, so there's really no need to take it so personally.
