This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Dispersion trading, from its old location at User:Dispersion trader/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. AfC notification: Draft:Dispersion trading has a new comment
[edit]- Dispersion trading focuses on the volatility difference between an index and its individual stocks, typically by shorting index options and going long on options of the constituent stocks. This strategy seeks to exploit discrepancies in volatility. In contrast, correlation trading centers on the relationship between two assets, aiming to profit from changes in their correlation coefficient. It often involves a wider range of financial instruments and can be applied to various asset pairs, not just stocks and indices. Dispersion trading is a more specialized form of volatility trading, whereas correlation trading deals directly with the correlation variable in asset pricing.
