The article on Monkey.org is well written; I didn't mean to say it was a vanity production, and I hope that I didn't say this. Keep writing away! -- Hoary 03:50, July 16, 2005 (UTC)

Since you stated your more-than-willingness to userfy the page, but also your uncertainty as to how that would be accomplished, I did it for you. Check out User:Dirt and User:Dirt/Monkey.org, and welcome to the collective mind. DS 13:33, 18 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your article on 2" Quad videotape...

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed you had written an article about 2" Quad videotape. I did earlier as well (although more exhaustive, not to brag or sound arrogant about it), and I took the liberty of merging your article into mine and changing your article into a redirect to it. You had some information in your original article that wasn't in mine, that I incorporated into it. I hope you don't mind, please let me know what you think.

Thanks for the feedback on my article. AFAIK, You don't have to go through having to change any links from other articles, since I changed your old article (2" Quad videotape) to a redirect to mine (2" Quadruplex videotape) which I merged with yours. So, I think it's all good, no extra effort required. :-). So you used to live in Bismarck as well back in the day? Wow, small world! :) As far as goings-on here, it has grown a bit since then, the whole north side is expanding (with Home Depot, Best Buy, Kohl's, and houses and condos being built left and right). But it's still got the same quiet small-town vibe/je-ne-sais-quoi since the 1980s (I've lived here for 26 of my 28 years, with all of them here in ND). It's good to hear from someone famililar with the Bis :)...

Pardon my delayed reply, things have been hectic as of late :P. But yea, about changing your links, that sounds good, better to make it direct instead of going through re-directs, I agree with it being cleaner. Yes, Kennedy Avenue, my brother lives around that neighborhood (and the facilities for my 2nd PT job at North Dakota Public Radio are up around there as well, a bit further north though). But yes, good to hear from you, and thanks a bunch for your contribution.

>I'd like to include some more images from steelform.com, did you ask for specific permission to use this file or do they have a blanket policy i haven't noticed?

No problem, I have asked their permission, see Image_talk:Barcelona.jpg. Just quote and link back to the source MH 20:55, August 14, 2005 (UTC)

Dug Song

[edit]

Dave, I've been looking around the internet, but have been unable to find any details regarding what happened to Dug. His monkey.org page is definately no help, it looks as thought it was defaced or Dug just wanted to disappear. I ask you about it because noone seems to have any clue what happened in the circles I regular. Did he quit development of OpenBSD? Janizary 21:00, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Monkeyorg logo 2005.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Monkeyorg logo 2005.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thanks for uploading Image:LeCorbusierChaise.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 23:50, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rock Island (Wisconsin), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Indian paintbrush and Jack in the Pulpit (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
