Yodha Ela (Jaya Ganga)

[edit]

Just be bold, if the article contains inaccuracies and you have cited references to support the changes then just do it. You don't need mine or any other editors permission to make changes if you feel they improve the accuracy of the article. The changes I made were based on my interpretation of the information you provided. You obviously have a better understanding of Yodha Ela than I do - so go ahead and make the necessary improvements and I'll stick to grammar, spelling and objectivity. Personal edit war

[edit]

Dan arndt has been engaged a personal edit war. He is doing destruction on Wikipedia. Note His edits on KDK Dharmawardena and history Dinuraeditions (talk) 07:02, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think that you need to read up on what actually constitutes edit warring, copy editing an article and adding maintenance templates is not edit warring. Dan arndt (talk) 08:36, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think that you need to read the relevant WP policies before you fire off accusations, which have no foundation. Dan arndt (talk) 09:00, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I do not want to accuse anyone for nothing. But you willingly destructed some articles. Dinuraeditions (talk) 09:07, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And what articles have I destructed? Dan arndt (talk) 10:24, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Maintenance templates and tags

[edit]

Please do not remove maintenance tags and templates from articles without addressing the issues, as you did here. ratemusic.com is a user edited website which does not meet WP:RS and the same appears to be true for sinhalajukebox. Please discuss your concerns on the article talk page, but remember to assume that other editors are also editing in good faith. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Twin Reservoir Complex requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://archives.dailynews.lk/2012/05/02/fea04.asp. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sorry but I have ended up deleting the article, as it appears that everything you included there was copied from copyright web pages elsewhere online. Everything you add to this wiki needs to be written in your own words please. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 18:40, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited W. D. Amaradeva, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Classical and Folk (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Musical artists - article layout

[edit]

For artists without separate discography pages, relevant discographical information, such as record labels, date(s) of release, chart positions, and sales certifications, may be included in the artist’s discography section. It is however not necessary or appropriate to include detailed track listing of an album on an artists page nor to include an album infobox.Dan arndt (talk) 11:05, 4 July 2018 (UTC) @talk - Thank you. Questionable sources

[edit]

I'd like to draw your attention to your use of questionable sources. Sites such as Discogs, IMDb, RateYourMusic and MusicBrainz are questionable sources, with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with little or no editorial oversight. The information on these websites is predominately user-generated content and is therefore not considered to be an acceptable source or reference. In addition self-published media, such as books, patents, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, personal or group blogs, Internet forum postings, and social media postings, are also not acceptable as sources. Music retail websites, such as iTunes, FreeMusic Archive, are not considered independent sources and are therefore not acceptable either. Dan arndt (talk) 07:29, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
