Hope You're Happy

I see you took the ball and went come on the Utahraptor page. I'll probably never be able to figure out what sort of sad human being takes such perverse pleasure knocking over other people's sand castles, but just FYI you're the reason Wikipedia is in decline. If it's 2016 and one of your pet pages still looks like a stub, that's on you. If you aren't going to add content get out of the way of those that will.Sturmovik (talk) 14:45, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

Stegosaurus

Hello. Would you be able to expand the lead paragraphs for Stegosaurus? LittleJerry (talk) 02:18, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

I started a topic at the Dinosaur talkpage. Any thoughts? LittleJerry (talk) 23:09, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tapejaridae, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tapejara. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks

Thanks for reverting my edit to the cladogram on Microraptor. I am indeed out of my depth. I made a similar edit to Microraptoria, which you can go ahead and revert as well. --Ori Livneh (talk) 02:38, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Elpistostege shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HarryKernow (talkcontribs) 20:06, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Elpistostege. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Katietalk 21:03, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Baby Scansoriopteryx Image

Have you thought of updating this image after Yi, or are we all playing it safe with Scansoriopteryx for now until further evidence is presented? Raptormimus456 (talk) 17:51, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Reconstructed wing planform of Quetzalcoatlus northropi

Hi DG2! I revised the File:Azhdarchwingshapewittonnaish2008x.png to include scaled images of the birds. Any problem with subbing it in for the original? Any help with the appropriate permissions would be appreciated too. Thanks. Saintrain (talk) 22:03, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

Your edits

I'm sorry to say, but for the evidence of other research, Liaoningosaurus was NOT a carnivore. I found out that they are also herbivorous, but rarely eat fish. They are ground-dwelling herbivorous so all ornithischian dinosaurs are herbivorous are correct. Oh, yeah. Sometimes Birds of prey eats fruits, even mostly they eat other birds. Or vise versa, giraffe and deer are herbivorous, but sometimes they eat fish, rabbits and insects and rarely scavenge. So your edit was reverted and that dinosaur was an occasional case and primary herbivorous.Line 8 the Pink (talk) 00:42, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Read the paper presented. I personally do disagree with its conclusions, but for now dismissing it without even reading it is not sound at all. Falconfly (talk) 02:44, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

I found out they are herbivorous, mainly feed on vegetation, but occasionally eat fish. So STOP saying that they are carnivorous. They are NEVER carnivorous. At the other article, they are primarily herbivorous, but sometimes eat fish. So never claim for being a carnivore. Line 8 the Pink (talk) 21:45, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Then post citacions. All you're currently doing is acting like a petty, dogmatic child. I'm pretty sure there will be a repsonse to the recent paper (since it is unprofessional anyways), but you're throwing a temper tantrum.

Falconfly (talk) 22:54, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

  • Both of you (@Falconfly:@Line 8 the Pink:) are in a wheel war, and both of you have pass the 3 Revert rule. That is grounds for suspension per wiki policy. Take it to the talk page & revert the article to the version prior to the wheel war until a comcusion is reached! (PS wiki reports what i written so keep that in mind.)--Kevmin § 22:36, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Paraves and pterodactyls?

You object to mention of pterodactyls, bats, etc in the intro. Another dino guy objected to listing pterodactyls in the See also section.

Looks like we're not allowed to even say 'pterodactyl' in connection with anything bird. How do we make this accessible to the uh, junior high schooler (you had encyclopedias when you were that age, like I did, didn't you?) who 'knows' that pterodactyls were 'dinosaur birds' and gets to our article on Paraves? The JHS'er is wrong on several counts; while paraves are indeed 'dinosaur-birds', they're not what he's looking for. He probably doesn't know how to spell pterosaur or pterodactyl, even if he's heard the names.

BTW, thanks for your detailed and very informative critique of my proposed additions to the article.

Sbalfour (talk) 21:25, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

Just to chime in, the lead of the page Pterosaur (which is linked in the first sentence of Pterodactylus) explicitly states that pterosaurs are not dinosaurs. So I think we should not introduce unnecessary material about pterosaurs due to their irrelevance to the main subject at hand (which is the clade Paraves).
