Nomination of Stavros Malas for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Stavros Malas is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stavros Malas until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Kangaroopowah 03:30, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
- I honestly didn't put up your article for deletion to "enrich my edit count". I put it up because I felt that it did not belong in the encyclopedia. I obviously made a mistake, as I had never seen WP:POLITICIAN before. It was not any attack against you in any way shape or form nor was it an attempt to bolster my editcount. My apologies, --Kangaroopowah 15:52, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Removing AfD template
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Stavros Malas. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot t • c » 12:35, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
The article Christos Patsalides has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. WWGB (talk) 12:01, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Nicos Anastasiades.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Nicos Anastasiades.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:18, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Giannakis Omirou.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Giannakis Omirou.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 20:53, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Giorgos Lillikas.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Giorgos Lillikas.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:59, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Election templates
[edit]Hi!
I've reverted your edits to the "{{Cypriot presidential election, 2008}}" template. For more info on how templates work, please see "Help:Template". Gabbe (talk) 09:16, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for helping me with the template Cypriot presidential election, 2008. I'd like to upload some images from the Internet for some candidates on Cypriot presidential election, 2013. Can you help me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dimnaz (talk • contribs) 12:12, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- Sure! The first part is finding appropriate images. If it's photographs of present-day politicians and you didn't take the pictures yourself, but instead found them on the Internet, they are almost certainly copyrighted. If they are, we can't use them on Wikipedia without permission. The page "Wikipedia:Finding images tutorial" has an explanation for how you can find images, and on "Wikipedia:Media copyright questions" you can ask questions if you need help determining the copyright status of particular images that you would like to upload. Images of election candidates
[edit]Do you remember me? I'm the user who wanted help for uploading some images for the Cypriot presidential election. Listen , I read what you posted on the talk sector , although I do not understand many things . Can you PLEASE upload two images for the article ( one for Giorgos Lillikas and one for Stavros Malas) ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dimnaz (talk • contribs) 16:02, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- All images of them that I know of are copyrighted. If you know of any images that are not copyrighted, you can use Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard. You could also contact the copyright holder of a copyrighted picture and ask their permission. Gabbe (talk) 18:17, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 19
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cypriot presidential election, 2013, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page European Party (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Stop vandalism
[edit]Hi. Please stop vandalizing the results on Cyprus election.--88.240.45.86 (talk) 16:19, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
- Why do you vandalize the results template? Will you write any reason or continue the edit war without explanation?--88.240.45.86 (talk) 16:28, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
- Will you talk? or say something? or continue to be silent and delete my contributions?--88.240.45.86 (talk) 16:30, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Wow! I am silent and I'm 'vandalizing' the results.Whose results? I've been working on this article since July and I do not accept anybody's interference with SHITTING the results.By the way I do not see your username on View History .Who's silent now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dimnaz (talk • contribs) 08:37, 24 February 2013
- No, that is not how Wikipedia works. It is not "your" template, and Wikipedia is a collaborative effort. I see no justification for the removal you are doing. Please use edit summaries, and discuss with the user why you don't think the contribution should be there. Continued reverts without any attempt at dispute resolution is likely to lead to a block. --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 16:47, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
- I would recommend reviewing Template_talk:Cypriot_presidential_election,_2013 and responding there to discuss, though I note you haven't removed the content again. --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 17:03, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Look .At this moment I don't care about the template. I would like just to say that the proposed template does not have any source and also parties do not look well on the template.
