Hi from Australia, Dileepvee!
I've made a few changes to those articles. I hope I have improved them. I notice that "Wisden India" is still a redlink. Perhaps you might like to work on this?

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Harbhajan Singh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page IPL (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm Qantasplanes. I noticed that you recently removed some content without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please stop removing infomation or you will get banned. Ok? Qantasplanes (talk) 05:13, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Qantasplanes I changed scorecard of Cricinfo as other sites notably Cricbuzz, Wisden India are 1-2 balls faster than them. If you still think that it was a better option kindly revert back their scorecard.
It isn't a good site who cares if it is 1 ball faster? And I probably wont even believe you since it is an indian site. Qantasplanes (talk) 05:32, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
FYI Cricinfo is also an Indian site with offices in other countries. And Wisden is called Bible of Cricket for a reason. Guess you need to brush up your cricketing skills before writing something. Dileepvee
Oh grow up, Cricinfo is more realiable then that trash. I think YOU should have some cricketing skills. Qantasplanes (talk) 05:51, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah going back on Indian site word, we know who needs to grow up. Of course Cricinfo is reliable that even a new born will tell that.

Yeah we know you do, obviously. Qantasplanes (talk) 06:26, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Are you promoting wisdenindia.com?

[edit]

So far most of your contriutions included links to wisdenindia.com, and in some articles about cricket series and tournaments you even have changed cricinfo.com scorecards to wisdenindia.com. Are you doing this in order to promote or advertise that site? If yes, please remember that this is considered spamming which can result in your editing privileges revoked. Wikipedia is not a medium for advertising or promotion. Wikipedia uses nofollow tags which means adding wisdenindia.com links here will not affect its search engine rank. If you are affiliated with that site, please read WP:COI. Thank you. jfd34 (talk) 06:33, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nopes not promoting any site. Just that I find the articles written on WisdenIndia more timely and of good quality. I have read the terms here and know about it. Just that I don't get enough time to update a lot of things from different places. Will keep this in mind in future. Thanks. Dileepvee (talk) 13:03, 19 November 2012 (UTC) Dileepvee[reply]

Dileepvee (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

As I mentioned earlier, I have no clue with regard to a duplicate id used. I'm not promoting any site as such. Wikipedia has been useful to me in a lot of ways and has helped me gather info and increase my knowledge over a period of time. All i'm doing is giving it back by updating posts - timely and of a good quality. I'll rest my case here, pity wouldn't be able to edit or add posts the next two weeks if the present block persists. Dileepvee (talk)

Decline reason:

You're blocked for sock puppetry. I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Max Semenik (talk) 08:13, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Dileepvee (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I understand that changing links of one site to another wasn't acceptable and have since stopped doing it. As you would see from my contributions I have in no way damaged or disrupted flow of content into Wikipedia. I'll pledge that will not cause any damage or disruption in future and that will continue making useful contributions for overall benefit. Thanks Dileepvee (talk)

Decline reason:

You are not blocked for changing the links; you are blocked for sockpuppetry, confirmed by checkuser, and this is the point you must address if you choose to apply for unblock again. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 09:05, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dileepvee. I noticed you were doing some work on the Shane Warne article, and that you've been doing a lot of work expanding the various Australian and Indian cricketers. This is great to see, but it seems that there has been a problem with many of your contributions, as you have copied the text directly (or with only minor changes) from the original sources. This is a problem, because it violates the copyright of the original authors and publishers. For example, using Shane Warne as an example, you added text that included:

... was furious that Samuels pulled back David Hussey when the batsman was turning for a second run. And when Samuels was batting later in the game, Warne confronted the West Indian with the words ...

Unfortunately, that is identical to what was in the Sydney Morning Herald article:

... was furious that Samuels pulled back David Hussey when the batsman was turning for a second run. And when Samuels was batting later in the game, Warne confronted the West Indian with the words ... [1]

You did make some minor changes, but unfortunately not enough to turn it into your own work. Looking back at your other contributions, I see the same mistake appearing quite a bit. It is important when contributing to articles that you rewrite the text from the original source into your own words, as otherwise these sorts of problems emerge.

At any rate, I'm doing what I can to check back and clean up any other inadvertent errors you may have made, and I'm very happy to help if you have any questions. You might also want to have a look at the copyright FAQ, as it explains things better than I can. :) - Bilby (talk) 07:30, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bilby (talk) Thanks, will keep that in mind when editing in future. Will try cleaning up old stuff posted. Dileepvee (talk)

Hi again. I'm sorry to have to raise this once more, but your addition to 2013 Indian Premier League was, once again, a direct copy from the Wisden article. Because of Wikipedia's licensing, it can't accept material that is copyrighted, and this means that we can't take direct copies of copyrighted text, or include text that is very similar to the original source. The copyright FAQ I linked to above is a great source, and should help explain things, if you get the chance to have a run through. - Bilby (talk) 11:15, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bilby I'll edit it and go through the FAQ and be more careful in future. Thanks DIleepvee (talk)

It is also unusual how this user never uses ESPN Cricinfo or Cricket archive, which is what we use in Wikipedia. Seems like he could be adv it? Qantasplanes (talk) 11:52, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Qantasplanes I think I have already answered that before and don't think i need to keep mentioning about not advertising any site over and over again to you. If you are aware Cricket Archive isn't an editorial site and Cricinfo is not always the first to break out news. DIleepvee (talk)
Wikipedia isn't an advertising site just to let you know Qantasplanes (talk) 11:03, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on P.M. Rungta requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
