Transfers

[edit]

The only obvious omission is a transfers section.  Omg †  osh  23:26, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. Transfers had a brief mention under "squad information", but now there is a sub-section to clarify it outright. Digirami (talk) 23:47, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Colors in league games

[edit]

Are we still going to color in league games depending on the result? --MicroX (talk) 02:10, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That was not a concern when I made this proposed MOS... and such matters were deliberately left out for now. The purpose of this proposed MOS was to created a template for the structure of this type of article, not necessarily how to display much of the information in the articles in tables and what not. There were a number of articles editor highlighted as to how they would like club season articles to be. The design of tables for squad information, transfers, results, etc., varied. What was common amongst them were general outline/structure. I synthesized that into this. Consider this step one. The next step--after this MOS is hopefully accepted--would be to agree on how to display some of the aforementioned information. Digirami (talk) 02:47, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Third kit

[edit]

What if the team has no third kit? --MicroX (talk) 04:03, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. It can be removed. A third kit is there to show that it can display three kits. Digirami (talk) 05:56, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sacked managers

[edit]

What if a manager is sacked during the course of the season? Do all managers appear in the infobox (with a date range) or only the one that finished the season? --MicroX (talk) 08:47, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Again, another matter I really didn't concern myself with. Personally, I would put only the current manager. Digirami (talk) 21:04, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why? It only seems logical that both should be there. It doesn't make sense to prefer just the manager who happened to finish the season at the club.  Omg †  osh  00:11, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Again, it's just my opinion. I didn't include that in this MOS because the focus of this was just to establish a common structure for club season articles. So if we can focus primarily, we can get this published, please. Digirami (talk) 00:21, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
