[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Diana Leddy! I am Reconsider the static and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

- Not bad for a first attempt! If you're interested, you should join the team at WP:EDU, which is a collective project for articles relating to education.-Reconsider! 01:29, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- Well the article has already been reviewed so you can remove the template if you want. You should continue to work on the article though. -Reconsider! 08:45, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
removing templates
[edit]I saw your note about getting a "New Unreviewed Article" template removed. I have to share with you one of my first experiences here. I looked at the Geno Auriemma article, saw a template warning that there were no references, and added some. Nothing happened, so I added some more. I ended up adding 17 references, and still nothing.
I now know that almost always (with some rare exceptions) an editor adding the template does not monitor the article closely to determine when it should be removed. It can be removed by anyone, at any time. It is even worse in your case, as that template is added automatically, so there isn't even an editor who might consider watching it.
One of the items on my to-do list is to edit the templates so it is clearer what should be done.
Unfortunately my to-do list is long, but maybe writing to you about this will move it up my list.
We need more articles on many things, but good articles on education would be a great addition. I want schools to view Wikipedia positively, and if it became a great resource for pedagogy, that would help. --SPhilbrickT 17:04, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
