Proposed deletion of Donald Daedalus
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Donald Daedalus, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Non-notable conceptual artist without mainstream recognition. The second and third supplied references don't mention Daedalus and the first is a promotional organization formed to publicize "emerging artists."
- http://www.enfoco.org/index.php/photographers/photographer/daedalus_donald/
- http://www.artbusiness.com/1open/032609.html
- http://atelierdeuxmondes.blogspot.com/
I sense that Daedalus must 'emerge' before Wikipedia deserves a page about him.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Doves as symbols. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Gabriel Kielland (talk) 07:40, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Talk:Donald Daedalus. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Whispering 09:20, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Article for deletion
[edit]Now that Ddaedalus has removed the proposed deletion tag, I have applied the "Articles for deletion" tag, and the notability of Donald Daedalus can be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Donald Daedalus (2nd_nomination). Binksternet (talk) 15:09, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Note, discussion moved to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Donald Daedalus. Regards, Guest9999 (talk) 15:26, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
