- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced to multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring and sockpuppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Lastly, if you are editing an article about an individual or group of people, please adhere to Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons' policy.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
Hello...?
[edit]I'm sure you can appreciate my question, considering your contributions history. Have you previously edited Wikipedia using a different account name? Please feel free to email me if the answer is confidential for whatever reason. Regards, SHEFFIELDSTEELTALK 16:47, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
No, this is my first account. Is there something wrong with my contributions history? Natalie Ann Ciappa (talk) 16:50, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- It's just that you seem to have a very intimate knowledge of the workings of Wikipedia for a new editor. You're making edits in areas that most editors do not touch for years, if at all.
- Perhaps you could also comment on your selection of user name. SHEFFIELDSTEELTALK 16:53, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- I have been reading Wikipedia for years. It's just a random name that I picked. Am I violating the user name policy? Natalie Ann Ciappa (talk) 16:58, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- Natalie Ann Ciappa is a dead person who was subject to a lot of press maybe 18 months ago.--Milowent (talk) 17:30, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- Should I change my user name? Natalie Ann Ciappa (talk) 17:35, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps you should tell us your banned name. I love that you edited the banning policy page, major lulz!--Milowent (talk) 17:45, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Blocked for sockpuppetry
[edit]Blocked as a sockpuppet You have been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet of a banned or blocked user. Blocked or banned users are not allowed to edit Wikipedia; if you are banned, all edits under this account may be reverted. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal the block by adding the text{{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. |
That's a generic template. You must appeal to Arbcom if you want to be unblocked. J.delanoygabsadds 17:43, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
