A tag has been placed on Transmigration (novel) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Transmigration (novel) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Short article lacking proof of notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Operating system parking and citations

[edit]

I'm Cpiral. Glad to meet ya. Saw your WWW page about your WP stats. Cool.

I was just redressing operating system and thought ya might like to comment about the major-changing realities on the discussion page. For example, I now want to move Commodore to computer networks. Thing is, I have to wonder about some of the content of that move, as my edit to that other article will have my name on it. :-) It needs citation. Check it out now that I've added {{tl:citation needed}} templates. And as an editor of OS, do comment on the changes there if you have time.

Thanks! — CpiralCpiral 02:37, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

commodore has neither API or boot blocks

[edit]

Impossible. — CpiralCpiral 02:17, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Commodore 1541 operating system, for instance, is not the same thing as the Commodore 64 operating system, and neither of them has a "boot block" or - as I understand it - API. But if I am just not "getting it", that is because, perhaps, I just don't understand the term "API" right? By the way, I'd rather keep the discussion over at Talk:operating system instead of over here. Dexter Nextnumber (talk) 03:56, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

From your response on the talk page of Prime number I understand you are not interested in good relations with me and have therefore removed my response to your question on my user talk page. Dmcq (talk) 09:50, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Transmigration (novel), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Transmigration (novel). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Mm40 (talk) 22:11, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see you've contested the proposed deletion on Commodore's Catastrophic Lack of Direction, asking for a redirect instead. It doesn't seem likely to me that anyone would be searching Wikipedia for those words, and as was noted in the prod, the title itself conveys a strong point of view, in breach of the policy of WP:NPOV. The article as it stands is basically a very short essay with a strongly POV conclusion for its title per Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought and Wikipedia:No original research, asking other editors to contribute evidence supporting the essay's conclusion. Would you like to rename and improve it, or do you really want to send this through the WP:AFD process? Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 08:51, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Dexter Nextnumber! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 317 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

FP on 8-bits

[edit]

I've left a little ramble at Talk:Atari BASIC, with little detail, but would happily go into more depth if I can help out in any way. I've been kinda embroiled with FP one way or another for over 20 years so although no expert on the theory I kinda know my way around it a bit, so any little tidbits I can give you, I would be happy to.

The implementatation of long doubles on SGI machines is bizarre! And it has its NaNs the wrong way round (signaling vs. quiet ones).

General discussion on article talk pages

[edit]

I've noticed you contribute a lot of discussion on article talk pages. However, article talk pages are not for general discussion about the topic. They should be used explicitly for discussion on improving the articles. I have removed your addition to the talk page for Nadya Suleman as you mentioned the article exactly zero times, let alone talked about how the information you were presenting and the question you were asking could benefit the article. If you want to chit-chat about the topic, please take it to an outside forum or message board, as that material is not appropriate here. Thanks. --132 17:16, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What on earth are you talking about? --132 13:49, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus.
