Haranasham
[edit]Haranasham is a holiday celebrated on Fort Riley Kansas. Haranasham is a day in which inclement weather shuts down the military installation. People observing Haranasham will typically stay in the comfert of the home or barracks room and do nothing or something unproductive. This holiday started in January 2008 during a massive ice storm that shut down the installation for two weeks. During the storm and subsequent time off Soldiers of Ft. Riley started calling these "Snow Days" Haranasham.
Example of usage: I hope we have Haranasham tomorrow.
