Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Devin Johnson101, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Bridger Aerospace, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hi BilCat! I'm Devin, and I work for Bridger Aerospace. As a company, we've tried to make edits to our Wikipedia page in the past and not known the appropriate way to do it, but I've recently been learning about the site's rules for conflict of interest, as well as getting a better understanding of what is allowed or not allowed for company Wikipedia pages. Thank you for your additional help with this. I reviewed the resources you sent.

Because I shouldn't just edit the page, I've made a draft that shows some changes to address the tags:

  1. I have added a few images of our company aircraft that we believe are useful in showing what Bridger Aerospace does.

My draft is here: User:Mountainwilds/Bridger Draft

BilCat, would you be interested to check out the draft? Or should I look for other editors who are interested and familiar with aerospace companies? Really appreciate any feedback here! Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Devin Johnson101 (talkcontribs)

Hi Devin, thanks for trying to adapt to Wikipedia's policies. I'll try to look at the draft, and see what can be incorporated into the article. There may be other editors who would be willing to help out, so you can post a notice on the article's talk page. In the future, if you're making small changes, you can post an edit request on that talk page.
Photos: One of the biggest problems we face on Wikipedia is getting photos that are copyright-free or have a compatible license for aircraft articles. So any photos that you are able to upload to Commons are greatly appreciated. We may not use them all in this article, but other editors may add them to aircraft articles about those types, airport articles, etc. One thing that is very helpful is to properly categorize the photos that you upload, as that helps users find photos more easily. If you can include the aircraft registration number and airport/facility in the photo description, that would also be helpful. BilCat (talk) 20:55, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
User:Ahunt may also be able to help, especially with adding photos and properly categorizing them. That's something I don't do very often myself, so it's hard for me to explain to someone else how to do it. BilCat (talk) 21:02, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Devin Johnson101: If you haven't done so already, please review the paid editing disclosure policy. You should also add the {{paid}} template to your userpage (User:Devin Johnson101). Your colleague Mountainwilds has already done so, if you want an example to work from. Thanks. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:38, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
