dvd -> DVD
[edit]Please learn to capitalize 'DVD.'
Invader Zim
[edit]Apology accepted, because I am a fan and I do have access to the DVDs. In fact, philiplore has had me review some of his episode summaries as he wrote them while we were watching those DVDs.
The edits I made conform to Wikipedia:No original research policy, which basically states that Articles may not contain any unpublished theories, data, statements, concepts, arguments, or ideas; or any new analysis or synthesis of published data, statements, concepts, arguments, or ideas that serves to advance a position. It doesn't matter if "everybody knows it" - unless it's been put into print, and you can reference it, it doesn't belong. Even leading academics can only use their research if it's been published.
As far as Vasquez, I don't doubt what he said, but the text must reflect that we have only his account and not read as authoritative Nick policies and decisions because we don't know that for certain. You are reading any other interpretation into it yourself. CovenantD 16:32, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
And I'll freely admit that I haven't seen several of the commentaries, which is apparently where many of the trivia points come from. As long as they are referenced properly, I'm more than happy to have lots of things included. It's a loverly, quirky show that deserves good coverage :) CovenantD 16:56, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
Zim category
[edit]The list and the article may be redundant, but that is irrelevant as long as they are still both in existence. The link provides a summarized page of all the articles in the category, and the page with summaries of all the characters, thus making browsing easier for wikipedians or researchers. — ßottesiηi Tell me what's up 20:56, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Civility
[edit]Regarding this edit summary: Please do not attack other users in such a way, as it is disruptive to the community and against policy. If you disagree with a content decision, discuss it on its own terms on the talk page. --InShaneee 19:38, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Schnitt Acht
[edit]A tag has been placed on Schnitt Acht requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fair use rationale for Image:16voltwisdom.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:16voltwisdom.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}
" template to the article SIR (Invader Zim), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 04:14, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, the recent edit you made to Popcorn (novel) has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Retirement
[edit]Don't read too much into it. Just my way of Rickrolling people, blame EVula :P (and Simm/Scissor/Masterrolling people). I didn't contribute for most of yesterday because I was ill all day. After the Radio Times citing, I stayed in bed until 4am this morning, only moving up to support Hmwith's joke RFA. Besides, I liked the pranks. Sceptre (talk) 11:54, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Shut Up Kitty
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Shut Up Kitty, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- non-notable
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. neon white talk 00:27, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Satanic content on Wikipedia
[edit]I have written an article for the book Hail Satan which is a collection of Satanic poetry. A christian user on Wikipedia seems upset and zealous in his efforts to have the article deleted. He has accused the article of vanity, whereas the article reads unbiased. The user in question also argues notability, yet the traffic log for the article since May shows over 1,000 visits. The article has also been accused of lacking sources, yet since this accusation proper sources have been added. The behavioral pattern however is arbitrary meaning when vanity is addressed and leveled - notability is argued, when notability is addressed and leveled - sources are argued. On the surface this seems less to do with an encyclopedic article's pertinence to Satanism and the Occult and rather the concern of christian users on Wikipedia to silence modern representations of Satanism in literature. I want to reach out to you in assuming unbiased concern and ask for your input and participation in the discussion of this article's deletion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Hail_Satan_(book) blackson 08:26, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
