Writing on userpage/article denied
[edit]Hello DenverBallZ, please keep in mind that the proper space for addressing other users is their user talk page, instead of editing their user pages. As for your comment, no, I cannot provide a detailed source assessment table for all individual references for the denied article as it has been referenced-bombed by low-quality sources. The issue of WP:OVERCITE has been previously noted by another reviewer as well. Also, when communicating with users on Wikipedia, please remember to treats other users with consideration and respect, even if you disagree with their judgement. nearlyevil665 04:54, 25 April 2021 (UTC) Let me ask you again. Did you visit the links cited or did you just act with presumption? It is courteous to make judgements based on evidence and not presumption. I see that you failed to cite many of the subjects' pages you created. Based on that evidence, would you like them flagged? DenverBallZ (talk) 05:37, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Denver, yes, I did a manual check and failed to find multiple reliable independent sources with significant non-trivial coverage of the subject as per WP:GNG. You are always at the liberty to resubmit without making any substantial adjustments, if you consider it the proper thing to do. I would strongly suggest you address WP:OVERCITE. As noted earlier, you don't need six references to a bundle of primary and secondary sources for a trivial sentence. Your lead section, for example, currently has a total of 16 references for three sentences. Five references out of these sixteen are to Amazon and the subject's personal shop page, which could be perceived as using Wikipedia for advertising one's products. There is a general consensus as per WP:RSP that this is unnecessary and that the authors' names and ISBNs are sufficient. As for my articles - just like any other user on Wikipedia you are free to nominate any article for deletion in line with WP:AFD. Please do bear in mind that most of my articles are on rugby union players the notability of which are subject to specific notability guidelines, specifically WP:NRU, and the references presented are sufficient to establish the following WP:NRU criteria: "A rugby union person is presumed notable if they have played for, coached, or administered: A "High Performance Union" at any time or another test nation during an appearance at the men's Rugby World Cup". If you disagree about the notability of any of my articles, I only welcome you to make the nomination. In fact, I have a separate section on my userpage with articles (currently only one) of mine that had been properly tagged for deletion. Best of luck and hope you enjoy your stay on Wikipedia! nearlyevil665 07:27, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
