Bryce D. Lyon
[edit]Hello, Delyon51. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Bryce D. Lyon, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.
Please note that in accordance to our conflict of interest editing guidelines, I have moved your article to Draft:Bryce D. Lyon, as editors with a conflict of interest should not create articles straight onto the mainspace. When you are ready to submit the draft for review by our Articles for Creation reviewers, please do so by adding {{subst:submit}}
to the top of the page. Thank you. Sdrqaz (talk) 21:30, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hi there. You seem to have created two articles on the same topic: Draft:Bryce Lyon and Draft:Bryce D. Lyon. Please make your mind up on which article you want to submit, as we cannot have two articles on the same subject, and merge the information into one. Thank you, Sdrqaz (talk) 21:30, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
Hello All,
I wish to respond to Sqrqaz concerns. Bryce Lyon is my father-in-law. I saw Bryce objectively; we had a rocky relationship. I was not the daughter-in-law he wanted. I did not attend Ivy league schools. Bryce's scholarly achievements, though, are noteworthy. Bryce looked at history through an economic lens. My draft article is primarily based on Bryce's CV. I sent the article out before my husband or sister-in-law could sent their versions. Articles written by Bryce's children would be an COI.
Also, my first attempt at publishing contained no references. The version contains as many references as I could find. In fact, I wonder if the article contains too many references.
Finally, I am new on Wikipedia. Being new to Wikipedia answers Sqrqaz's second concern. I had difficulty retrieving my initial article, which I wanted back in my sandbox. My attempts resulted in two drafts on Wikipedia.
And, I appreciate any editing and assistance on this article.
Thank you. delyon51
