Speedy deletion nomination of Thomas Peter Walsh (Irish Composer)

[edit]

Hello, Deewalshers

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Thomas Peter Walsh (Irish Composer) for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hi I would like to know why you think it’s inappropriate it’s a biography about my Dad. Deewalshers (talk) 21:16, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Have a look at the notice I posted below, WP:COI. It is highly recommended that you avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors. Many thanks! VickKiang (talk) 21:17, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Wow..I mean I don’t see what a 70 year old man has to gain from a wiki page.. i just thought it would be nice to have him up there…but fair enough delete away to your hearts content. Deewalshers (talk) 21:25, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Thomas Peter Walsh Dublin Musician file.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused with no apparent encyclopedic use, Thomas Peter Walsh (Irish Composer) was deleted

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. mattbr 07:45, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I actually thought this had already deleted. I wrote it about my dad not realising you are not allowed to write about people you know but I guess that makes sense. I don’t believe it was ever published. My dad wrote Inisheer and it is known worldwide he’s in his 80’s now and I thought the time it would be nice to have a page about him on Wikipedia. But I guess he’s not famous or important enough and i suppose that’s fine. I didn’t really know what I was doing anyway. 78.17.66.177 (talk) 08:20, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
