Wikipedia isn't for publicising one's work
[edit]I see that in a talk page post you wrote "I created that Matrix and Algorithm and it's accepted and published in IEEE, but now I am stuck, not sure how I can let the common public know that I have created such an algorithm. How would people know and actually implement and use it?" I'm afraid that is a common misunderstanding of the nature of Wikipedia, in several ways.
Wikipedia seeks to serve as a source of information on topics which have already received substantial coverage in multiple reliable sources. New concepts which have not yet received such coverage don't satisfy Wikipedia's notability standards.
- Wikipedia's policy on promotion does not allow material posted with the intention of promoting or publicising anything.
- The guideline on conflict of interest strongly discourages anyone from editing about a subject in which they have a close personal involvement, such as their own work.
- Using Wikipedia to publish original research is not allowed.
I am sorry that this information must be disappointing for you 😒, but I'm afraid you will have to find other ways of publicising your work, as that is not a service which Wikipedia provides. JBW (talk) 13:46, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:DC Matrix
[edit]Hello, Deep DC97. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "DC Matrix".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. ✗plicit 13:14, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
