[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Eva Rivas, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  [[ axg ◉ talk ]] 11:28, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Eva Rivas, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially critical when dealing with Biographical articles of Living Persons; Biographical material must be written with the greatest care and attention to verifiability, neutrality and avoiding original research. Due to the contentious nature of Eva Rivas, contributions such as the one you made fall under a Special enforcement ruling on biographies of living persons.

Accordingly, you are requested and required to discuss contentious edits such as this one on the article's talk page, which may be found at talk:Eva Rivas. This notice is your official warning that further edits which add non-neutral, libelous, or inadequately sourced information to a biography of a living person may result in your being blocked from editing without further warning. Thank you. Camaron · Christopher · talk 12:49, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Olia Tira requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  Chzz  ►  07:52, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Niamh Kavanagh.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Niamh Kavanagh.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. A tag has been placed on Olia Tira requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Olia Tira, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. GregJackP (talk) 15:15, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Olia Tira.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Olia Tira.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. GregJackP (talk) 15:17, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Programs for Youth, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 16:06, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to YMCA Youth Parliament has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. --Ibn (talk) 17:07, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, please do not add text copied from victoria.ymca.org.au or from any other website without permission from the copyright holder. Such additions will be reverted. Thank you. --Ibn (talk) 17:55, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted all your image uploads as they have clearly been taken from websites, please do not upload such images again, review the Wikipedia:Image use policy. I have also taken down Olia Tira which was re-created a second time after being deleted for being mostly a copy and paste of http://www.myspace.com/oliatira. Copying texts and images from websites and publishing them on Wikipedia without permission of the author violates the copyright policy and is potentially illegal. You may re-create the article but only in your own words. Please note that re-creation of Olia Tira a third time as a copyright violation may result in a block - copyright is taken very seriously here. Camaron · Christopher · talk 15:20, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for repeatedly re-creating Olia Tira as a copyright violation despite being warned above, as well as re-uploading copyrighted images. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Orphaned non-free image File:Jurnal TV.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Jurnal TV.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:31, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
