November 2022
[edit]Hello, I'm Mys 721tx. I noticed that you recently removed content from Mark Morgan (producer) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Orphaned non-free image File:Violent Night film poster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Violent Night film poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:33, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Ficheiro-Twilight2.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ficheiro-Twilight2.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:30, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
Regarding nationalities in infobox poster captions
[edit]Hi. The RfC regarding not including the nationalities of the posters in the infobox if said posters were from the film's country of origin (Template talk:Infobox film/Archive 31#RfC: Nationalities in infobox poster captions) derived in the inclusion of its criteria at WP:FILMPOSTER: Nationalities (e.g. "American theatrical release poster", "French release poster", "Japanese release poster", etc.) should be excluded from the caption, unless the poster in question is not from the film's country of origin.
In the case of the Harry Potter films, they are both British and American, so neither nationality should be specified, they same way you didn't modify the caption from Theatrical release poster
to American theatrical release poster
in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. —El Millo (talk) 20:00, 24 December 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please refrain from changing lead sentence. "It is directed by" is the upcoming article and "It was directed by" is the released article. LancedSoul (talk) 19:55, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Please explained why are you changing the lead sentence? Again, "It is directed by" is the upcoming article and "It was directed by" is the released article, so please don't do that. LancedSoul (talk) 19:59, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Another one, when adding companies for infobox, please include source to make it correct. An example of how you did with The Lego Ninjago Movie as I reverted your edit. LancedSoul (talk) 20:02, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Also, you didn't provide edit summary, means that your edit will appeared to reverted, like how you did with Renfield (film). LancedSoul (talk) 20:12, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on J. K. Rowling. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Sideswipe9th (talk) 22:48, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
Logged-out editing
[edit]Please don't make unnecessary edits while logged out. This includes reinstating edits that were previously reverted when you made them using an account. If you continue to do this, you may end up blocked. LancedSoul (talk) 23:31, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
Please consider providing edit summaries; thank you!
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed a recent edit you made does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! LancedSoul (talk) 02:12, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
Citation
[edit]Hello, I'm LancedSoul. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Jumanji: The Next Level, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. LancedSoul (talk) 02:47, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
Per WP:SPOILER, it is not acceptable to delete information from an article because you think it spoils the plot. LancedSoul (talk) 22:27, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

DOA Dead or Alive
[edit]Please stop. You changed the image [1] Restore the original poster. There is no reason to use the US poster instead of the original release poster. This should not have been done unilaterally without any discussion or consensus, this shouldn't have been done at all. -- 109.79.167.143 (talk) 11:46, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
Are you the same person as User:TommyR25 because you have both made very similar edits to DOA: Dead or Alive without any discussion or explanation. Please note WP:SOCKPUPPET. -- 109.79.167.143 (talk) 11:55, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
No, I'm not, but Wikipedia always includes the American poster, and this is a co-US film, the American poster should be included. Decodingw (talk) 20:17, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
- You should not unilaterally make changes long established stable content without any discussion. Please treat the editors that came before you with the same good faith you would like your own edits to be treated. Also please follow the WP:SIMPLE rules and explain your changes an edit summary whenever possible.
Wikipedia always includes the American poster
that is incorrect. Wikipedia _usually_ includes the theatrical release poster which in most cases also happens to be the same as the USA poster. The Infobox film documentation recommends the original theatrical release poster and in this case the American release was not the original theatrical release, it was long long delayed and came many months after the original release. The documentation is not as clear as I thought it was but there have been many discussion about this in the past and you can ask at WT:MOSFILM if you don't believe me or are in any doubt that the main theatrical release poster should be used. -- 109.79.175.194 (talk) 11:03, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
J. K. Rowling
[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at J. K. Rowling. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. LancedSoul (talk) 21:57, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
- This is the notice that appears every time you edit J. K. Rowling. Please read it. Formal discretionary alert next. If you continue, you will be blocked. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:29, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
- Also, when four different editors have reverted your edits, you should stop and engage article talk. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:32, 16 January 2023 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Atlantis (franchise) into Atlantis: The Lost Empire. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 00:00, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
