edit of 18:49, 1 January 2010
It is difficult for the Europe and America people to imagine Kei car. I chose the latest beautiful photograph, and displayed. And, I chose the photograph of historical Kei cars. DeLarge edit is not understood easily for Europe and America people. Moreover, AZ-1 1990model of Today, and Twin were the failure works model. And, Mitsubishi i MiEV is a model paid attention to most as Oncoming generation Kei car. DeLarge should esteem a Japanese aspect. I wait for DeLarge answer. Come to Kei car discussion, Please. --AvengerX (talk) 02:15, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Mitsubishi 2G10 engine
First of all, thank you for your continuous work on Mitsubishis! I welcome your input and hope that I can assist in provide fuller information on many aspects of Mitsubishi's history.
However, I find myself disagreeing with referring to the 2G10 engine an "OHV" design. I already made some changes and apologize for that, I should have written to you first. I'll leave those changes for now, rather than keep on changing things back and forth uselessly, but no offense intended.
I hope that there is no disagreement on the 2G10 being a two-stroke engine. Evidence of this is plentiful, not least in the naming of the Vulcan engined replacements as the Minica F4, Minicab 4 and Minica Skipper IV respectively. As for the OHV confusion seen on the Mitsubishi website, perhaps it is caused by the fact that the ME24 and (I assume) also the 2G10 were Reed-valve designs? The Japanese Wikipedia article on the 2G10 makes no mention of OHV: 2G10 article
Here is a link to a drawing of a cut-up 2G10 engine, also without evidence of overhead valves: 2G10-1 Drawing
I will additionally be more than happy to scan and e-mail you copies of various other printed matter regarding the 2G10 engine in its various applications, if it will help lay this (rather unimportant) misconception to rest.

AfD nomination of List of vehicle nameplate sales figures
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of vehicle nameplate sales figures. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of vehicle nameplate sales figures. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:07, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Airikkala greyscale.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Airikkala greyscale.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Solid State Survivor (talk) 05:19, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

- Hi DeLarge! Having spotted this image had been deleted from the article Joginder Singh (rally driver) by Hullaballoo Wolfowitz, as a non-free image, despite there being an acceptable Fair use licence claim on the image page, I have replaced the image on the article and updated the fair use claim details. Adopt-a-user reminder
Hello, I have completed a general cleanup of the adopter information page for the adopt-a-user project, located here. During my cleanup, I have removed several inactive and retired users. In order to provide interested adoptees with an easy location to find adopters, it is essential that the page be up-to-date with the latest information possible. Thus:
- If you are no longer interested in being an adopter, please remove yourself from the list.
- If you are still interested, please check the list to see if any information needs to be updated or added - especially your availability. Thank you.
- You are receiving this message because you are listed as an adopter here.

Speedy deletion nomination of Phil Packer
A tag has been placed on Phil Packer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. An update from adopt a user
Hi there DeLarge! You may be wondering, what have I done to sound the alarm this time? Nothing. I'm messaging you in regards to the adopt-a-user program, which currently has a backlog of users wishing to be adopted. This doesn't make much sense, as we have a considerable list of users offer adoption, so there shouldn't be any backlog. I've begun to eliminate this backlog myself through a matching program, but I need your help to make it work. Of course, adoptees and adopters don't have to go through there, but I believe it helps eliminate the backlog because someone is actively matching pairs.
On the list of adopters, I have modified the middle column to say "Interests." It's easier working with other users that have similar interests, so if it's not too much to ask, could you add your interests in the middle column? For example, if I was interested in hurricanes, computers, business, and ... reptiles? I would place those in the middle column. Counter-vandalism and the like can also be included (maintenance should be used as the general term). The more interests, the better, since adoptees can learn more about you and choose the one they feel most comfortable working with. The information about when you're most active and other stuff can go into the "Notes" section to the right.
Finally, I've gone around and asked adoptees (and will in the future) to fill in a short survey so adopters can take the initiative and contact users they feel comfortable working with. We all know that most adoptees just place the adopt me template on their user page and leave it - so it's up to us to approach them and offer adoption. So, please take a look at the survey, adopt those that fit your interests, and maybe watchlist it so you can see the interests of adoptees and adopt one that fits your interests in the future.
Once again, thank you for participating in the adopt-a-user program! If you wish to respond to this post, please message me on my talk page.

Cetenary Diamond mention of Mick Harris
DeLarge,
I would like to raise a concern of an amendment made to the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centenary_Diamond page. You quoted: "Mick Harris referenced nowhere except on here". The facts were, the diamond was cut by Mick Harris (DCW) cc on behalf of and for De Beers, Mick Harris seconded the likes of Gabi Tolkowski and others to perform the task. For further verification of this fact, you can contact the South African Diamond and Precious Metal Regulator (http://www.sadpmr.co.za/), they can pull the records of Mick Harris (DCW) cc at the time and can testify that the diamond was under their control. Secondly, if you speak to the likes of Julian Oglivie Thompson or Nicky Oppenheimer, they would also be able to testify this fact.
I view the fact that Mick Harris' name does not appear in much reference to the Centenary Diamond (and the Golden Jubilee Diamond) is purely that Mick Harris was a humble man and we all know that the loudest voices are the ones that get heard. Mr Tolkowski, being the loudest, got all the recognition for the projects and Mick Harris was walked over.
The reason I write this is that I would like to set the records straight and to put the recognition where it belongs. I know I have not given any definitive reference to Mick Harris (my late father) being involved with the Centenary Diamond, but I do believe that I have given enough to justify further investigation. I leave it in your hands to either rectify the errors or to ignore the truth and follow the louder voice.
P.S. I do have some memorabilia from the project, i.e. some photos etc. that would be of vlaue to your web postings, I would be willing to discuss give you copies of these. This includes what I believe to be one of only a handful of photos of the rough of the Golden Jubilee Diamond.
Many Thanks Jeff Harris (Son of Late Mick Harris) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeffhnetactive (talk • contribs) 12:43, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:Verifiability, specifically the description of the policy in a nutshell ("All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation") and the opening sentence ("The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth"). Basically, the responsibility of contacting SADPMR, Julian Ogilvie Thompson, et al does not belong to Wikipedia's editors and/or readers. As a tertiary source, we only record what has already been reported elsewhere.
- For your father to be given the credit you believe he deserves, what you must do is contact those who would be able to confirm the facts as described above, obtain the necessary records and quotations, compile an article, and then have it published by a reputable source. Once that is done, Wikipedia can cite that source, but not before. Also, bear in mind that this would still have to be balanced against the fact that most sources will continue to credit Tolkowsky; the existence of your article would not instantly negate the legitimacy of all previous published reports on the subject.
