Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website, I have blocked this account from editing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. 331dot (talk) 16:54, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry I did not mean no harm. I just had this account as my Youtube username. Sorry for any confusion. Can I request a new username? DCTransitFilms (talk) 16:56, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

I requested this username. "DCTransitFilms" was just my Youtube channel name here. I didn't know it violated Wikipedia rules. DCTransitFilms (talk) 17:00, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Marking edits as minor

[edit]

Hi! I noticed your edit to a WMATA station page (Special:Diff/1121121600) and noticed it was marked as a minor edit when I don't think it meets the qualifications for a minor edit, along with many of your other edits. Please read Help:Minor_edit#What_not_to_mark_as_minor_changes and the section below it in particular. In general, if the edit changes the page display, categories, etc other than truly minor edits such as clear typos and typographic mistakes, do not mark the edit as minor. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. Skynxnex (talk) 17:28, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I didn't mean to add it! Dcspotter21 (talk) 18:30, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine, in the large scheme of things, be more thought of when to mark minor. There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia, even if you've been reading it for a long time, and as you as you're willing to learn and improve no big issue. I hope you continue your editing on updating transit-related articles in the DC area! See you around. Skynxnex (talk) 18:49, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

April 2023

Information icon Hello, I'm Julietdeltalima. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Pan Am Flight 103, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Where are you getting the 15th of the month as the exact date? Julietdeltalima (talk) 14:34, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Julietdeltalima I'm sorry for a misclassification. I got it from Planespotters.net and usually all plane accident articles have it on their "Aircraft Section" if it talks about the Registration. Though I wasn't sure if it was necessary as I was primarily doing them for the 9/11 aircraft articles. I highly think it does fall under trivia though but some aircraft accident articles has it listed.
Here it was (you have to make an account to see the built date):
https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/boeing-747-100-n739pa-pan-american-world-airways-pan-am/e2go43
Sorry for that. Dcspotter21 (talk) 13:02, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This information needs to go on the article talk page, not your talk page, please. Thanks. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 16:14, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

August 2023

[edit]

Hello, I'm Glane23. I noticed that in this edit to Yellow Line (Washington Metro), you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Geoff | Who, me? 12:57, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The reason I removed it is because that bit of information does not need to be mentioned in the lead of the article. It is already perfectly explained in the "History" tab. Dcspotter21 (talk) 13:17, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
