It might seem to spoil the argument (59% for the ADQ and PQ combined the last time). So might Scotland, where the Scottish National Party is evidently not really nationalist (32.9% of votes at the 2007 election rather than the misleading 1.5% quoted), and Wales (Plaid Cymru got 22.4% at the last election, somewhat more than 0.6%). Flaws?

You need to decide whether or not regional parties count as nationalist; I can think of several regionalist parties not mentioned on your list (in fact, they tend to be wholly absent except for the Spain and the UK, where almost all of your "nationalist" parties are regionalist in the context of the UK). The Scottish National Party is definitely regionalist; secession from the Union is on their platform. How does regionalism relate to nationalism in terms of what is "healthy"? They're both similar phenomena, but in very different contexts (regionalism is often a reaction to imperialistic nationalism or socialism). The Jade Knight (talk) 14:20, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
