Welcome

[edit]

Hello Dazesboat and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Ramiro Gomez, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Hugsyrup (talk) 10:09, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Introducing grammatical errors

[edit]

Hi Dazesboat - a number of your edits appear to be inserting small grammatical errors into articles. For example placing a definite article ('the') in places that do not require it such as here, here and here. The insertion of 'which' here also makes no sense. I am prepared to assume that this is not deliberate vandalism and you believe your edits are helpful, but if so I am afraid you need to be more careful and double-check the meaning of sentences before you make changes. If you continue with this, I may assume that it is deliberate vandalism and this could lead to you being blocked. Hugsyrup (talk) 10:15, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, this is clearly wrong, so is this. In this edit you inserted an entirely unnecessary word into something that was a quote, and this edit also makes no sense. There are several other similar examples. I am not sure what you are up to - I'm afraid I have a suspicion that you are trying to pad your edit count with tiny edits for some reason, but you are doing so very carelessly and the vast majority of these edits are simply wrong. Please be more careful. Hugsyrup (talk) 10:27, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Hugsyrup thanks for replying me. Sorry for the inconvenience. I want to be a great part of the Wikipedia community and was too uninhibited. I will surely be careful with next time or ask for your help. Thank you very much Dazesboat (talk) 10:38, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Dazesboat, thanks for the reply. No worries at all, just be careful and be sure to read over the full sentence after you have made a change. And if English isn't your first language then of course you are still very welcome to edit here, but just be extra careful when making grammatical or structural changes as something that seems right to you might not be! Welcome to the community and enjoy editing! Hugsyrup (talk) 10:40, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:History of smartphones

[edit]

Hello, Dazesboat. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "History of smartphones".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 17:35, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
