User talk:Davy Blue
Instead of complaining about there being no male picts, do something usefull and add one yourself instead of complaining I didnt add one.
Okay, you're on.
The picture
[edit]The rules are generally open. The picture needs to be public domain inorder to be safe from being deleted by moderators. As for the picture being decent, you have a good amount of freedom, but I wish to keep the ABDL article and Infantilism article on two different levels because of past concerns over size; because of the past concerns, the picture for infantilism should be of high quality and devoid of sexual action; the ABDL article, due to being of small size, can have a great deal of play in the quality and decency of the picture. I went through alot of pictures to pict that one picture out, it is not easy to find a vanilla picture in ABDL of high quality.
How you post it is simple. In the toolbox, you will see a link, "Upload file". Just like in email, you need to upload the picture, but keep close track of what the name of the picture is, you need the name later. The rest is learned in the sandbox. It is fairly weird, you need to put the image tag in the section over the section you want the picture to be in.
We can have both pictures, and since the first picture shows how simple ABDL clothing can be, you can upload a very frilly and complex picture of a guy if you want to. --OrbitOne 8 July 2005 14:19 (UTC)
Okay. It's been posted, but I'm not sure I did it properly. May I ask you to look at the pics and see if they're alright, and if so, when they will become a permanent part of the page? Thanks again.
Where have they been posted??? I can not see them.
Neither can I. I'm not sure what I did wrong exactly. It posted them, but not to the pages I wanted to post them to. I sent the links to your discussion page where they were sent. Can you assist me in getting them placed properly? By the way, Tod says thanks. He's pretty excited about being the subject of the pics.
The sandbox has the information you need. I am pretty busy right now so I cant help, but just try in the sand box and experiment.

Your new articles
[edit]Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. Looking at your new articles, I thought I'd let you know that we don't usually include simple definitions in Wikipedia (for instance Baby oil, and to a lesser extent, safety pin). If you want to write these sorts of articles, they'd probably fit in better at Wiktionary. If you're planning to expand them into something more likely to be found in an encyclopedia, than just ignore this message. All the best, --Scimitar 00:00, 12 July 2005 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm kinda new, so I wasn't sure if you did that to make it easier on persons who don't use english as a first language or not. Also, please keep in mind that these terms sometimes exist as regional colloquialisms. The word nappy in American English is an adjective, for example, whereas it means something totally different in British English. At the same time, if you feel that it's too much detail, I'll cool it on the simple definitions. Dave 01:00, 12 July 2005 (UTC)
- Well, it isn't really my call that matters- but in my experience, these are perfectly valid article subjects. The problem is that most of these are pretty hard to expand beyond basic definitions. A similar article, which has been expanded, would be breadbox. Oh, you might want to check out Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Play Pen, to see what the general consensus on Wikipedia is, and to add any comments you might have to the debate. Anyhow, all the best, and hopefully I'll bump into you again in the course of improving articles! --Scimitar 15:16, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
Well, it does appear that the ayes have it. I could expand them, as I've had a fair bit of experience with those particular things that the articles slated for deletion are about. Do you think it's better for me to do that, or just to let them go? Dave 22:20, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
I've come to the conclusion that my enjoyment of Wikipedia was far greater before I started editing and writing material for Wiki. It's so easy to get caught up in the political bullshit, and none of it really means anything. Maybe it's best if I don't contribute to the page at all, and just go back to reading the page the way I'd read any other encyclopedia. Dave 00:25, 26 July 2005 (UTC)
Notification of intent
[edit]Davy - I don't want to get into a revert war over the redirect and your new page. I'm going to put it up for VFD as a re-create, and mention your removal of the redirect from the last VfD in the header. I believe the result of this will either be a speedy delete of the new page, or a redirect to another page. Your quote of JW may have some effect on those precedings, so put it up with your vote.
Maybe if you contributed to articles that were not quite so close to your heart for a while, you'd enjoy your time here more. Then, when you're more comfortable with how things work, come back to those things you're passionate about.
Regards, brenneman(t)(c) 03:57, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
Sorry, I now realize they are both removed redirects. People (notice it wasn't me) make these for a reason.
brenneman(t)(c) 04:02, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
Or you could just pay some attention to the rules as outlined by Jim Wales in the section regarding deletion policy. You do comply with policy, don't you? Dave 11:51, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
Dave,
I've placed both Image:Daddy and ben (46).jpg and Image:Daddy and ben (43).jpg on Wikipedia:Copyright problems. Please see Wikipedia:Copyrights. For more information about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, take a look at our Five Pillars.

Wrong again. Permission was granted by the owner. Contact Todaler himself for details. Dave 01:36, 6 August 2005 (UTC)
Dave,
- Please understand that I am trying to be as straight-forward as possible here. Comments such as "I won't request that your profile be deleted for violating official policy," tend to demonstrate that you don't understand policy. More to the point, as I've mentioned before, you appear to not understand some of the basics of Wikipedia.
- That's not an insult, and I'm sorry because I know that it sounds like one. It takes a long time to understand the interactions, unwritten rules, complex mix of rules, guidlines, precendents, and dictatorship that make Wikipedia work. And once you think that you understand everything, some one points out WP:IAR and does what they want anyway! Two thirds of the time I have no idea what is going on.
- By looking at your edit history, I cannot help but notice that you've confined yourself to contributing to a narrow set of topics. Perhaps if you tried editing some other articles, get involved in some collaboration, a bit of back-and-forth over POV, and produce a shiny finished product, you'll get a better feel for things.
- Because I can't imagine you're having any fun right now. I imagine instead that you're angry and frustrated and this is a bad thing.
- But if you continue like this things aren't going to get any better for you. Really. I'm going to keep trying to produce a great online encyclopedia that anyone can edit, I'm going to continue to make crazy edits, I'm going to keep working for balance. I'm going to keep being patient, I'm going to continue to avoid insults. I am going to keep believing.
- If you think I'm out of line, maybe I am. I'd be mad to deny even the possibilty that I'm doing the wrong thing. I've included some links, the next step would probably be Request for comment (RfC), as we don't seem to be able to communicate. I was recently chewed up and spat out in an RfC I raised, but it is the next step if you feel I'm "after" you. I'd imagine OrbitOne would provide the second signature for you.
- Oh, it appears I was mistaken about the VfD. The consensus appears to be a merge into Infantilism. Which means I'll probably end up heavily involved in the content of that article, too!
Cheers,
brenneman(t)(c) 13:32, 6 August 2005 (UTC)
- Almost forgot, I believe you've misunderstood the relationship between GNU Free Documentation License and Wikipedia:Copyrights. Please see User talk:OrbitOne#Recent changes, but I always do love to be proven wrong. Which is lucky, because it happens all the time.
Well, you're right, I am new, and I don't fully understand all the vagaries of Wikipedia. But I have seen the rules for deletion, and understand them. I understand that you're violating them. I have seen requests for User Profiles to be deleted. I ahve seen references to User profiles that have been deleted. I have seen the reasons why. I have seen the majority of them have been deleted for vandalism. I understand that quite well. I also understand what vandalism is. And, I understand that it is what you are doing. Do you understand what you are doing? And do you understand what the consequences are? When the time comes, there won't be any more opportunities for you to reverse course. Before you bite off more than you can chew, make sure you think about what you are doing. Because as verbose as you may be, the moderator who deletes your profile will not be giving you a long speech about it when it happens. Dave 20:40, 6 August 2005 (UTC)
American?
[edit]Dave,
I think that you may have been confused as to whom the author of the comment you were responding to actually was. While this is understandable, and in fact the reason I'm always clucking on about signatures, your response was not appropiate. I've placed some comments beneath yours, and I really suggest that you ask some one else for their advice. Find an advocate and drop a note on the page, please. Because "Why don't we just delete you" is a threat, and I will not tolerate another.
brenneman(t)(c) 02:48, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
No? Well, I won't tolerate your harrassment or your vandalism. Keep it up and you'll earn yourself one deleted profile. Dave 03:06, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Refactoring
[edit]Dave,
I'm trying to clear out some of the bitterness from the Infantalism talk page. I'm removing a lot of my comments - anything that isn't about moving forward, anything that's about personality conflict. If you could do the same, I would appreciate it.
brenneman(t)(c) 10:47, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
No, leave it. I want everyone to see precisely what and who you are, Aaron. A bigot. I'll drop the issue when you leave these pages alone, and untril then, consider yourself up for deletion. Don't try to hide from the arbitrator who will be handling your case by deleting your posts, either. It's on the historical record of each page, and you may be creating more work for the arb, but that will only serve to make them more irritated with you. Dave 11:44, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Dave - I'm pretty busy right now with the talk page, but please do make a complaint if you think that's helpful. When I finish refactoring the page I'll make one for you if you want?
brenneman(t)(c) 11:56, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Well, if you could jump off a bridge, that would make me happier. But I'll settle for your non-interference.Dave 11:57, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Dave,
I've finished refactoring, sorry I was brief before. If you want to fill out a request for comment (or notify an adminstrator, of place an ettiquite alert) I can help guide you to the right places. I'll be frank, I think that you would be very very suprised by the outcome of any of these actions. You must realize that simply threataning it ceases to have much affect after the third or forth time?
I have (and still am) trying to make some peace with you. I know you may not like it much, but I am in for the duration with regards to this (and ancillary) articles. You really are going to have to learn to work with me if you want to contribute to them as well.
brenneman(t)(c) 13:53, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
I've learned better than to make compromises with people who attack my community. I'll endure you only as long as I have to. But if there ever comes a time when I am in a position to remove you from the Wikipedia community, I will. Dave 22:21, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Davy Blue,
I will be adding your name to Wikipedia:Wikiquette alerts following placing this message.
