Help with changes

[edit]

I noticed you deleted my work on the entry, "Due Diligence." I am new to Wikipedia, and this is my first entry, so I am not entirely sure what all the reasons are, but I would like to learn what mistakes I may have made. I think one of your issues is sourcing. I do know the source information, but am not sure how to put this into the entry correctly.

The old Due Diligence entry is out of date, and needs to be updated. Please tell me how to fix whatever mistakes I may have made, so that I can properly correct the entry for Due Diligence.

Thank you in advance for your help on this.

The reason is that the new definition of due diligence which you added is not supported by any sources, while you did remove the only source which supported the old definition. Further, in your analysis which you added to the article, you reached conclusions without citing a reliable source which could verify these conclusions, for instance your assertions about Lao Tzu, Confucius, Menander etc. If you already have the sources needed to support your additions to the article, you can try the instructions on how to quote sources at WP:CITE. Sourcing with citations also includes any conclusions or comparisons which are added to the article, not only the facts. Without sourcing, the conclusions are considered original research WP:OR. For any further discussion I think this discussion should move to the article talkpage at Talk:Due diligence so that other interested editors can also participate. Hello Davidmiller676. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Association of Due Diligence Professionals.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Association of Due Diligence Professionals}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 04:00, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
