AfD Nomination: Danny Graham

[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Danny Graham, has been listed by me at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Danny Graham. Please look there to see why this is, if you are interested in whether it should be deleted. Thank you. --Jerry lavoie 05:32, 21 January 2007 (UTC) Jerry lavoie 05:32, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Avdy Kuliyev

[edit]

Thanks for adding the succession box to Avdy Kuliyev. KazakhPol 04:42, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a little confused about the "fact" tag you put on this article. Thompson's folks are offering free bus rides to the straw poll to just about everybody over 60 in Iowa. My mother-in-law turned down the offer of a ride and a free meal because she has relatives in Wisconsin (us) who have told her about Thompson's record, and as a Christian she could not in good conscience take a gift from a man she would never vote for. Have you not heard about this? --Orange Mike 13:05, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

For working on the "current" area. Rich Farmbrough, 13:23 17 August 2007 (GMT).

PS, for things that predictably run for a year (or I suppose longer), I have created two annual categories which can be invoked using just the year in the {{current}} template date argument. This should be the later of the two years if the event/season spans two years. Rich Farmbrough, 13:27 17 August 2007 (GMT).

Hi. A user category that you are in has been proposed for deletion at Wikipedia:User categories for discussion. You are welcome to comment. Cheers! bd2412 T 02:06, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your DOB addition

Thanks for adding the date of birth at the article Jackie Speier. Do you have a source for that new info? Cirt (talk) 22:25, 14 January 2008 (UTC).[reply]

AfD nomination of Deaths in 2008

[edit]

An editor has nominated Deaths in 2008, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deaths in 2008 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 18:04, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date linking

[edit]

Hi. I saw this edit, where you undid my de-linking of Edie Adams' dates earlier in the day. In case you're not aware, date linking is now deprecated at WP:MOS, because it serves no useful purpose. Cheers. -- JackofOz (talk) 04:31, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed new policy

[edit]

As a recent contributor to Deaths in 2009, you may be able to help decide on a proposed new policy. It is proposed that:

A month should be deleted from the "Deaths in [CURRENT YEAR]" page ONE WEEK after the month ends.

Please opine at Talk:Deaths_in_2009#Proposed new policy. Don't just say

  • Support.

or

  • Oppose.

Also state your reasons and participate in the discussion. Michael Hardy (talk) 16:41, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove accessdates. I have no idea why you did it, but when someone actually puts in the effort to mark it, removing it just isn't nice. Also, newspapers and websites are works, not publishers, therefore my use of "work=" was correct, and it was incorrect for you to change it. -Rrius (talk) 02:25, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please exercise more care in changing article text w.r.t. the recent rename of next United Kingdom general election to United Kingdom general election, 2010. Twice now I have noticed you have changed text to read '2010 election' where it was clear from the context or the reference that the year was not known at the time. This is historical revisionism, and is not correct or desirable at all. Change the underlying link by all means, but if it is not appropriate to the article, do not add 2010 to the text. Thank You

Thank you for correcting my recent edits to the "Recent Deaths" page regarding the death of former Kansas Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert E. Davis. I just looked at the source relating to his death again, and realized my error. --TommyBoy (talk) 21:26, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Colorado Republican caucuses, 2012, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jon Huntsman (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I am curious to the reasoning of re-scrambling the categories so that people can't see if something is missing, and in the persondata, deleting nationality, as well as gender-neutalizing congresswoman to U.S. Representative, the inprecise U.S. Representative 'from Indiana', when she was from Mississippi and for Indiana. Dru of Id (talk) 00:31, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think you will find he is already listed under March 2. Regards,

Sorry if I was premature. I think your correction must have 'crossed in the post' with my earlier message !

Hi. I found an error in the article (see photo). Copernicus was not a German, he was from Poland. --Top811 my talk —Preceding undated comment added 15:57, 12 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
