My real name is David Charles Manchester and I have contributed to WikiPedia. I have an account(the Username is NOT David Manchester), and I have used my account for these contributions. I am not now logged in. I would like it to be understood that, what ever happened here, the User that has been blocked that WikiPedia has labeled "David Manchester" is not me.
I have never edited a Wikipedia page under the name David Manchester. I have always either done so anonymously (but identified myself on the related Talk page for nontrivial edits), or I have logged in to my own Username to do it.
I was quite surprised and chagrined to find that such a block associated with my name had taken place. It might have something to to with my writing online as I have been quite critical of certain elements of the US Government, particularly some programs run through the Defense Department for the ostensible purpose of domestic intelligence gathering and which I have questioned. (for more refer to the article - which I am NOT linking here - on thewall.civiblog.org called Personal Account - Earth: Blogging and the Emergence of DotCommunism and my subsequent work on a collection of documents at that site related to warrantless domestic surveillance and the infiltration of peaceful groups excercising their First Amendment rights.
