Nomination of Khaled Akil for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Khaled Akil is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Khaled Akil until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. KDS4444Talk 21:28, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm Happy that you decided to withdrew your deletion nomination User:KDS4444, Thanks for letting me learn more about Wikipedia and how to write an article, is the discussion closed now after your withdrew or there are still nominators? I've red that you have to write "Withdrawn by nominator" below your nomination statues to make it active. Thanks again David (talk) 07:54, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • That is true, but is a technicality: no reviewing admin is going to delete a page whose deletion nomination has been identified anywhere as "withdrawn" by the nominator (unless a subsequent editor appears and makes a more forceful and convincing argument for deletion, which in this case seems rather unlikely). No need to worry. I believe this article is safe. KDS4444Talk 14:15, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

When do you think this discussion will be closed and the article will be safe? David (talk) 09:50, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits to the deletion discussion for Khaled Akil

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you made some recent edits to the deletion discussion for the article on Khaled Akil. It is important that you sign your comments with four tildes at the very end, like this: ~~~~. This allows other editors to track who has made which comment. Also, you deleted the comment of another editor: this is not something you should ever do without very good cause. That editor, User:Joseph2302, made a recommendation that the article be deleted, and it is not appropriate for you to remove the "delete" or "keep" !votes of other editors in an ongoing deletion discussion. I understand you wish the article to be kept, and that is fine, but it does not mean you have permission to silence the voices of those who disagree with you by deleting their comments. KDS4444Talk 04:31, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Sorry, but defiantly it was by mistake, I didn't mean to delete any thing or to silence and voice, Sorry again. as for the sing thing , is it fine like this or it should be in other from ? [user talk: David Devon]

Just before you click the Save Page button, you should press the tilde key, which looks like this: ~ and you should press it four times in a row and then hit "Save Page". this automatically adds your signature and a timestamp to your comment, which is very helpful. Try it now, right here on this talk page, with your next entry. Type what you want to type, then four tildes, then click "Save Page" and see what happens (your alternative form does nothing, sorry!). KDS4444Talk 09:58, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help David (talk) 10:00, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you want to correct your deletion of the other user's delete vote, there is nothing to stop you. He has already been notified of it, and is likely to return in a few hours and be justifiably upset at your actions otherwise. Replace it now and save yourself some trouble. Yes? KDS4444Talk 10:02, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't want him to get me wrong, what do you mean by replace it ?David (talk) 10:05, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Right now his vote is not present in the deletion discussion. Go back to a version that had his vote and comment, copy that text, and paste it into the current version of the discussion. Until the current version of the discussion includes his comment, he is being silenced. KDS4444Talk 10:09, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've readded my comment, no harm done. It's the sort of mistake newbies make frequently. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:24, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks User:Joseph2302, I've added new resources, would you please take a look and give me your opinion, I'm doing my best to improve my article, also I wanna ask you weather adding a photos the article will support it or not ? David (talk) 16:33, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Khaled Akil has been reverted.
Your edit here to Khaled Akil was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://vimeo.com/120274151) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:25, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you User:talk:XLinkBot for informing me, I'm still new here and learning. David (talk) 16:30, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • David, you are unlikely to get any response out of a "bot"— the bots are automated applications that manage much of the routine business of making Wikipedia work, and although created by humans, are only programs (who aren't likely to notice if you thank them!). Just an FYI. KDS4444Talk 14:18, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question User:XLinkBot, I'll add again the links and I'll remove all the media and copyrighted materials, is it fine ? I guess the Ekavart.tv and Vimeo.com are the ones you mean in your comment.David (talk) 16:39, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
