Deepa's Peer Review:
[edit]Hey David,
We have already had our notes in the google doc we were working on but I wanted to write up some of our notes on the vector borne disease section that you added to the Climate Change Page. We discussed how this section could have had other vector borne diseases other than the two main illnesses that were covered: dengue and malaria. The other types of illnesses, like insect borne helminthaiases, that were caused by animal migration due to higher temperatures in previous colder climates, causing species to habituate in these new environments and encroach on human dwellings. You added the section on animal migration to end of this section, which talked about Leishmaniasis preside and hemorrhagic fever viruses, which explain this phenomenon. We also discussed how there was a lot of controversy about the effect of climate change on these vector borne illnesses as the literature described. Eventually, we came to the conclusion that there needed to be a couple of sentences describing how other factors besides climate change, like urbanization and overcrowding, have an impact in the spread of these diseases. David did an amazing job describing how the impacts of climate change on weather patterns can affect transmission of these illnesses and describe the changes to life cycle and growth patterns of vectors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anonymous13012 (talk • contribs) 23:41, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

[edit]It looks like you are planning to edit these articles as a homework assignment. Wiki-Chemistry has much experience with student editors. Here are some suggestions/fact: (i) ask for help, (ii) cite only books and secondary sources (WP:SECONDARY, (iii) editors at Wikipedia probably know much more chemistry than you do, (iv) worry about good content, not formatting (some person or robot will deal with format). Again, ask for help or advice. Good luck, --Smokefoot (talk) 18:33, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
