I'm not sure, the District council section is very incomplete, with I think at least 100 councils not included in the template. If completed this would make the template very very big, compared to say the Template:United Kingdom local elections, 2006 that I created. Given that huge size (which might dominate articles it is put on) I was not sure whether the template was a good idea and so stopped working on it. If you (or anyone else) thinks it is a good idea and want to complete it I am fine with moving it out of my userspace for that purpose. Davewild (talk) 17:33, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I’d say that: In the short term, the 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010 templates must also have similar issues? And I believe that templates can be edited after creation (not that I’ve ever created one). So if it works why not use it? In the longer term, could the templates have “show/hide” hide switches incorporated in to them (I refer you to my previously mentioned lack of template experience if that’s a stupid suggestion). --Trappedinburnley (talk) 19:53, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done, template created at Template:United Kingdom local elections, 2007 and I have added to the main 2007 article. Feel free to expand and add to other articles. Davewild (talk) 20:09, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
