If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Speedy deletion of GOODE Ski Technologies

[edit]

A tag has been placed on GOODE Ski Technologies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. CultureDrone (talk) 20:13, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Talk:GOODE Ski Technologies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Talk:GOODE Ski Technologies and leave a note on [[Talk:Talk:GOODE Ski Technologies|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Willking1979 (talk) 20:27, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and created a backup for you

at User:Dave Goode/Sandbox. This is so you won't have to start from scratch if the article you created is deleted. Please take the time to review the links I posted above, as well as Wp:RS, WP:NOTE, and WP:CORP, and improve your draft if needed. Wikipedia does not allow advertisement, but it does allow articles on corporations/companies if presented in a balanced, and cited, way. ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 20:28, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Goodelogosm.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 21:21, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article

[edit]

I've added places where additional citations are needed. If it is already mentioned in a previous citations, simply do the following: replace the first <ref> citation instance with <ref name="SOMETHING">

Then add <ref name="SOMETHING"/> where ever the same cite is needed.

ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 01:11, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I will try to do better.

[edit]

Thank you for your assistance. Do I need to do anything where it says (fact)?

Or just fix the refs?

Thank you, again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dave Goode (talkcontribs)

I've added some comments ( in <!-- and -->) on areas needing improvement (more of relevancy issue). Its a great improvement right now though. The refs should be converted to standard formatting (see template:cite web and related templates, but it's not mandatory. ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 02:55, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also: One can't cite another wiki, or wikipedia. One may copy a citation located on a wikipedia page, but citing another wiki (unless about wikipedia policies) fails Wikipedia:Reliable Source ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 03:09, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I hope you haven't found Wikipedia's policies to be too confusing, I understand new business owners may feel frustration when an article on their company gets flagged for deletion while seeing other companies pages on wikipedia. I thank you for your patience and willingness to abide by WP:Policies which take some time to comprehend. (The previous new editor who was writing about their company I tried to help after picking up them on NewPage Patrol and marking their original draft for deletion accused me, and two other admins who were trying to help of "abusing power." He/she refused to read the policies (or at least skim them) and kept trying to have advertisement as citations, which is sad as the article was salvagable)ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 03:25, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Davegoodewiki001.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 14:33, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The photo should now have the proper copyright notice. I have also sent an email to permissions.

Speedy deletion of File:Goodelogosm.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Goodelogosm.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image showing no evidence that the copyright holder has released it under the license indicated by the uploader which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:File:Goodelogosm.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from GOODE Ski Technologies. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
