Regarding Template:Place
[edit]Regarding Template:Place which you tagged for speedy deletion. There is actually template code on the page and it is transcluded to a couple of articles. I declined speedy deletion, but I have nominated it under WP:Templates for discussion as a template that can likely be deleted or merged, since something better likely exists. Help
[edit]I recently made several edits to the page for Bob Babbage. These were added in good faith and with sources where applicable. There definitely wasn't any contentious material. Could you be more specific about why this entry was tagged? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.189.101.216 (talk) 16:30, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Also, with regard to your other tag, the links were removed because they didn't have a Wikipedia page to link to and were added erroneously. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.189.101.216 (talk) 16:32, 4 February 2016 (UTC) @65.189.101.216: Could you link me to the edits in question? Thank You

Protection
[edit]DatGuy, can you insert the semi-protection tag to the article The Fast and the Furious — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.88.250.93 (talk) 16:14, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
- No, because the page isnt protected. If you want, you could add a request at requests for page protection. Dat GuyTalkContribs 16:31, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Edits - Christopher Tambling
[edit]Hi I edited the page Christopher Tambling as it clarified, improved and corrected a number of issues on the page as follows:
- He obtained an MA (Master of Arts) and FRCO (Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists).
- He was educated at Christ's Hospital and was taught by Malcolm McKelvey there- it doesn't make sense otherwise.
- St Peter's College is in Oxford, but as a constituent College of the University of Oxford it is referred to as St Peter's College, Oxford
- 'Easy to get style' is also not a good English phrase, at least in musical terms. It is highly ambiguous.

Disambiguation link notification for February 11
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Arteezy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Uzbek. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Edit to Dowling Catholic page
[edit]Sorry I didn't leave an explanation for why I removed a section, "controversies" recently. I'm an administrator of the school, Ryan Osborn, and term "controversy" is not only opinionated, but overstated. The issue of reference was a Diocese of Des Moines issue, if at all- but not specific to our school.
Also, the president edit I made needs to be restored- it is not Nate Eichelberger, it is Jerry Deegan, Ed.D Thank you for your assistance Buffaloroad1972 (talk) 17:41, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Buffaloroad1972: Even if that is true, we cannot take your word for it. The content in Wikipedia needs to be cited by reliable sources. See Help:Citing Sources for how to cite a source. Also, please do not remove the section because even if you may not like it, the content is fit for Wikipedia. Dat GuyTalkContribs 17:46, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
I appreciate your rationale and will update again with sources Buffaloroad1972 (talk) 17:57, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

Your Changes to the Ishrat Jahan Case =
[edit]I have recently removed some content from Ishrat Jahan case , but i have given the edit summary as "Removing sensationalist content" via this edit — Preceding unsigned comment added by an unspecified IP address
- The content is not sensational because it is a quote. Dat GuyTalkContribs 16:44, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Escape from Tomorrow edit
[edit]Thanks for the message. I just wanted to add context and clean up the profanity. Tony Goldmark's review is highly questionable to begin with. How can a Disney fanboy possibly be objective about this particular movie? (He's not a notable celebrity or even an actual movie critic; its says he's a "Musician and comedian"...) He's also obviously trolling Drew McWeeny. Anyway, I just thought it needed to be clarified. If I'm wrong, I apologize. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.68.58.192 (talk) 17:23, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

Regarding the SPI
[edit]You're clearly not happy with me and what I said, so I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise. Although the other two were indeed confirmed, you were not involved. My apologies. --Ches (talk) 16:03, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Chesnaught555 and Winkelvi: Apology accepted. Some of these words, such as 'Obvious sockpuppets,' really did annoy me and were quite uncivil though. Dat GuyTalkContribs 16:04, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
- Indeed. I wasn't deliberately assuming bad faith (I did read your edit summary) - the evidence did suggest that you were involved, but of course that wasn't the case. Once again, mea culpa. --Ches (talk) 16:09, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Chesnaught555: Seems like Winkelvi isn't part of that apology. Feel free to ping him, but I won't because of the reasons above. Dat GuyTalkContribs 17:07, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Pete Davenport was not an attack page; as the text made clear, the subject is a fictional character. There are probably other speedy tags that would have been appropriate, but we need to be careful about accusing newbies of attacking real people when they haven't. —swpbT 18:02, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Swpb: That was not 'obvious.' The text states He took the job because his ex-wife Lionel is bleeding him dry on the divorce. Doesn't that sound disparaging to you? Cheers, Dat GuyTalkContribs 18:05, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Swpb and RickinBaltimore: And there's another one. Jelena Howard. Dat GuyTalkContribs 18:08, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, it was obvious, from the phrases "He found out in the pilot episode..." and "the third episode of Out of Bounds". The point is, if you'd read a little further, you'd have seen that the attack label did not apply. —swpbT 18:07, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- I've redirected Jelena Howard to the show Hit the Floor (TV series) as well. RickinBaltimore (talk) 18:11, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

Edits - International System of Units
[edit]Hello DatGuy, I have made changes to International System of Units because my changes helped:
1. The alphabetical order of sections was improved.
2. Advertising of cars and planes of little interest or relevance to readers was removed.
3. The photograph of an Indian fruit stall had no place in the European section of this article.
Please excuse me if I had written insufficient explanations outlining the changes, I hope you will respond letting me know why you put back the advertising and incorrect placement of a photograph of an Indian fruit stall in the European section.
Thanks, User:Do better (talk) 14:37, 2016 February (UTC)
- @Do better: The edit I reverted was of the removal of content. I did not notice later that you re-added the content. Also, are you the same user from the post above? Dat GuyTalkContribs 15:16, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
User:DatGuy (talk) 06:29, 2016 February 12 (UTC)
- @DatGuy: You failed to view the complete section. Please revert my changes so that the advertising is removed and things are returned to the correct place. Yes I am the same user as the above post. Do betterTalkContribs 06:29, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
User:DatGuy (talk) 20:42, 2016 February 19 (UTC)
- @DatGuy: You failed to make any response to the above problems. Please attend to this so that the advertising is removed and things are returned to the correct place. I have responded several times now without you simply reading this and then confirming that the advertising has no place here and the order of items only confuses and places one country which has not fully adopted the international system out of alphabetical order and above those which have. Do betterTalkContribs 20:42, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
User:DatGuy (talk) 21:10, 2016 February 19 (UTC)
- @DatGuy: Your changes are appreciated. Thanks. One more item which has been overlooked is the advertising of a car on the page. I believe that this bears little relevance to the international units and so should also be removed. Sorry to have to remind you about this small but relevant item Do betterTalkContribs 21:10, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
