Content must represent all aspects of what has been covered about the subject
[edit]Hello, I'm TheRedPenOfDoom. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral and has been reverted. If you think there has been a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 19:54, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
- And also please read WP:COI and WP:MEAT. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 19:56, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
- We cover subjects according to the way they have been covered in the sources. The vast majority of third party coverage of David Bergstein has been his involvement in legal disputes and thus our article coverage will also focus on the legal disputes. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 06:55, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- Edits such as this one really will not get you anywhere. The content will be restored within a few hours and if it continues the article will end up being protected. If you wish to challenge any aspect of the article you should start a discussion on the talk page. If discussion does not resolve the dispute then there are other options available to you such as Wikipedia:Requests for comment and Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard. Betty Logan (talk) 07:33, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- As Betty Logan said, if you have a dispute, take it to the talkpage, don't just revert people. Also, the article is now semi-protected for a week. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:12, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Please do not edit war
[edit]Your recent editing history at David Bergstein shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 06:57, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
