3RR
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. ~Amatulić (talk) 04:37, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:06, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

2010 East Texas Church Burnings
[edit]Uh, yeah. You can't just go adding whatever you want to the "current events" templates willy nilly. There's a specific process to add things to the current events portal. If you'd like more info, let me know. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 22:13, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Questions
[edit]1. The quote isn't needed in that article. It's already summarized in prose form, which is generally preferred. Also, please read the Wikipedia policies on synthesis; simply listing several events which may or not be connected (e.g., several fires in the same area) is frowned on. Both of the articles you created seem to be nothing other than synthesis; there's no concrete proof that the fires are linked, or that they will have a long lasting (i.e., more than a few months) impact on the community. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 02:41, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, that might be something. There's still the matter of Wikipedia not being a news agency. This seems little more than a brief flurry of news coverage of something; Wikipedia:Notability (events) has a more comprehensive description of what would make a fire notable. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 02:52, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely certain where to draw the line on these myself. Those ones lasted a lot longer and therefore had a wider impact; these ones seem to be on the fence at best. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 03:26, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Another user hit the nail on the head: "But the article in its present form does fail WP:SYNTH, in that it draws connections between the incidents where the sources do not." Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 19:38, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Tom Little
[edit]A tag has been placed on Tom Little requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Reliable source dispute
[edit]User:Abhishikt asked me to look into some recent edits on the James Cameron article and he/she undid one of your recent edits. I don't believe your edit is vandalism, but there does seem to be some dispute over what sources are appropriate. Nobody's apparently been talking about those issues on the talk page, so I'd suggest (and have done the same to Abhishikt) that you discuss them on the Talk:James Cameron article. If that doesn't go anywhere then you might also find Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard good for getting a 3rd opinion. Shadowjams (talk) 21:27, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
James Cameron - Personal life dispute
[edit]I have started a talk section on this dispute http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:James_Cameron#Personal_Life and listed sources and references, which confirm that he's an atheist. Please respond to that. -Abhishikt 18:22, 10 August 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhishikt (talk • contribs)
