Information icon Hello, Daryazal. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Scooter Braun, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. CityOfSilver 18:25, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Do you have any professional or personal relationship with Braun? CityOfSilver 19:42, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I do not. I am an admirer of his work and have a career in the entertainment industry so am very aware of his work and presence, but have no personal relationship to Scooter Braun.

Thank you. Please read WP:PROMO and WP:NPOV. Edits like yours are strongly discouraged. CityOfSilver 20:03, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am not promoting in any shape of form. Simply noticed more recent projects (i.e. Hand in Hand, One Love Manchester) were not included, and as Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopedia, felt it was lacking critical and accurate information. I only edit pages after I realize a lack of information has been presented. This is true for all my postings.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Scooter Braun. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.Davey2010Talk 22:21, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Tony, I'm an administrator here. I see you've been in a content dispute on the article I've linked to above and that another user has warned you about our rules on edit warring. I've told them that they should not remove the content again if you restore it, but I'm also highly suggesting that you don't restore it without using the article's talk page first, to talk with them, or take it to a noticeboard such as WP:NPOVN to get uninvolved users to see if they think the content should be included. We really don't like edit warring on Wikipedia, and taking part in an edit war can lead to a block. Hope you have a great rest of your day/night.
