Thanks! In time I'll make those edits, (though I'll be gone for like a month). Darthkayak (talk) 21:13, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Blackburn

Hi I noticed your reverting edit of my demography counts on the page of 76%. I was actually not trying to vandalize the page. I was pretty much working out the math as there was almost a missing 7% off the page. I chalked it up to the amount said as it seemed to fill in the missing percentage. I apologise if it appeared misleading. Just tried to sort out the maths behind.

Hi JoshuaIsTheFalco. I completely understand that feeling when the data has issues - as it is it appears to me that the article has somewhat unclear and conflicting sourcing for the demography. I know that you were acting in good faith, and I'm sorry for implying vandalism on your part; that really wasn't appropriate of me. The problem with your edit is that it violates WP:ORIGINAL to attempt to change the numbers in the that way you did. While we are allowed to perform simple arithmetic, when it comes to things like census data we need to be very careful and make sure we are consulting and presenting data from reliable sources rather than just changing the numbers until it looks right. What concerns me is that there was just a discussion on your talk page about this, so in the future I really recommend consulting the guidelines on original research before you try to make changes like that. And remember, you can always take it to the talk pages if you're unsure about something. Thanks,

Darthkayak (talk) 18:57, 15 December 2019 (UTC) Hi Darthkayak, I thank you for your reply and suggestions. I have just been looking around on Google and found a page from Blackburn with Darwen council page. I have found four PDF files for Blackburn and Darwen which are statistics. If you can check them out and feel these clean up the mess I did not mean to create. It be appreciated. https://www.blackburn.gov.uk/facts-and-figures/census/2011-census-locality-profiles.
