The article Greg Wood (actor) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Part of the problem is that the article is very forward-looking. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Second, the article needs to focus on the actor and not the roles he plays. See the general notability guidelines. Basically, one of the measuring sticks is whether he's had multiple articles written about him in newspapers, magazines, and the like. Having an IMDB page is not an indicator of notability (plus, except for very basic information, IMDB is generally not reliable).

The best way to get an article about him to stick would be to have multiple reliable sources about the actor that are cited in a new article. —C.Fred (talk) 12:15, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
