Hi there,
I know you haven't been here for a while, but I noticed you were talking about wanting to change the User:Spell.ufb/AMV Hell page to AMV Hell and you weren't sure why it was named with User:Spell.ufb. I just wanted to clarify things a little for you, just so you understand :)
- An article can only be created on Wikipedia if it is defined as being notable. I suggest you have a read of the articles about notability first off if you haven't yet done so.
- Secondly, as you are aware, you, as an user, can have your own "user page" to which to add information about yourself (as you have done so at User:Darkmikasonfire. What you may not realise is that you can, in fact, have an unlimited (theoretically) number of "user subpages" where you can store information about yourself as well. (Please note that there are guidelines to what you can and can't have on your user page and subpages. Click that link for more information.)
- So, what happens is that, since many things in this world aren't "notable" enough for an encyclopedia, what some users like to do is write about a subject that they think could become notable sometime in the future. In this way, they are in a way preparing an article to be created. This is why AMV Hell exists only as User:Spell.ufb/AMV Hell. The page "AMV Hell" is a subpage of the user Spell.ufb. So, technically, you can't really edit it, since it is owned by Spell.ufb, but most users like people to help so if he hasn't been in contact, it's probably fine.
- Finally, when an article becomes "notable" enough, it can then be moved from someone's subpage into a real article. That is, User:Spell.ufb/AMV Hell would be moved to AMV Hell. So yes, you can do this, but in the case of AMV Hell, it would probably be voted to be deleted quite quickly (again, read the stuff about Notability).
Anyway, I hope that's helped you out. If you need any more help, I am User:RazorICE and you can talk to me by adding a message on my user talk page. However I very rarely get on Wikipedia nowadays so I may not be able to help you.
Happy editing! :) --60.242.106.22 (talk) 12:24, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
