Skin Colour Map
[edit]Hi. I also used the Von Luschan's chromatic scale defined here [1] and made this. I didnt do the whole map tho. I just wanted to say, due to the fact that Von Luschan's chromatic scale is really old, the tone may change according to where you sample the colour in a tile. I think this looks also right and it is easier to differentiate colours in Europe and rest of Eurasia. What do you think? If you are unwilling to change the map, I'll complete this map and replace yours but given the little dots, it wont look as good as yours. Lukas19 20:43, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
It is easier to read because on the map you made there is a region with green skin. I don't think that is accurate, because humans don't have green skin.--DarkTea 21:04, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- As I said, The map isnt complete. I just changed the colours of lightest and second lightest regions to demonstrate that a map can be made which complies with Von Luschan's chromatic scale AND easy to read. Lukas19 21:06, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- I made a link to your version on the (Template:Biasutti skin color map) for viewers who want to know the skin color boundaries.--DarkTea 21:25, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Image:Carolus Linnaeus Racial Definitions.jpg
[edit]Hi, I noticed this image in a page I was viewing, and...well, it appears to be missing Australia. Could you fix this in some way? —Mira 21:15, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- From what I read, he gave them no classification. It is a hassle to flag this image for author requested speedydeletion and then re-upload it. I may update this map and all the other racial classification maps I made, if I find another book on the subject and have my interest in the area re-kindled. I'm sure there are more historical racial definitions left to be unearthed.--DarkTea 00:20, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I didn't mean that there's no classification for Australia, I meant that Australia is not on the map at all. If it's too much of a hassle, I understand, but the map's a little flawed if it's missing a whole continent. —Mira 00:25, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
I might gonna open an RfC about him, would you sign the RfC if I do? Lukas19 07:11, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

- What would the RFC be about?--DarkTea 01:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- I would sign it. I just noticed Alun's recent string of personal attacks against you.--DarkTea 01:15, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
