Adopted
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
What does it mean by being adopted ,and what can I do to increase my chances of being adopted by writer or blogger on Wikipedia
Dark Java (talk) 08:09, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
- The very short answer is it means that you get a mentor to help you edit Wikipedia. The longer answer is already written at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user, which has some good advice both for the adopter and the adoptee. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. [edit]Hi, I’m Zippybonzo, a Wikipedian here, would you like me to help you with learning and adopt you. Zippybonzo | Talk (he|him) 09:38, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
Hi @zippybonzo I recieved your message for adoption . Sorry for little late reply . It's my pleasure to work with someone like you. I am excited about to work with you and about my role . Let's talk further . Please contact me on my talk page Dark Java (talk) 14:41, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, there are a few ways that it can work - you can just edit how you wish and I will just check in on your progress and give you some tips, I can give you some tips now and you can ask me what you need help with, or you can ask me things that you need help with. But whatever option you do choose - you should probably add
{{Adoptee|Zippybonzo}}
to your userpage. Please reply in this thread. Thanks, Zippybonzo | Talk (he|him) 14:57, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

- The way Wikipedia works is that you don’t get paid for your work, you volunteer your time to make the articles of Wikipedia better. Thanks, Zippybonzo | Talk (he|him) 07:12, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
I know how Wikipedia works , that is why i add adoption label in my profile , if you want to adopt me , you have to pay me , nevertheless thanks to reach me Dark Java (talk) 05:43, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- As I mentioned above, adoption doesn’t work that way, you don’t get payed for editing. Thanks, Zippybonzo | Talk (he|him) 09:06, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
