Hi, I see what you edited in Brontoscorpio and Praearcturus articles. Yeah, I am really curious about attitude of Sci-news to AI, and I doubt about information in certain news (especially Mixopterids being ancestor of scorpion which is unlikely), but I am trying to obtain paper based on the news. Actually Braddy mentioned about that before the release of news on his Twitter account, so it is possible that paper about carcinosomatid ecology would contain discussion about affinity of those scorpions. I still think they are scorpions, but probably have to wait for reply of the paper. (Seems paper in schweizerbart is "early access" according to author, so probably eventually will be public anyway) Ta-tea-two-te-to (talk) 02:48, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

I didn’t even know it was AI, I just thought that the “scorpions are mixopterids, the giant Devonian scorpions are actually crustaceans” paper was a crank doing what they do best i.e. making stuff up and passing it off as true. And since it’s on Schweizerbart, basically nobody can actually check what said paper says… IC1101-Capinatator (talk) 14:37, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
