[edit]Please review the Wikipedia policy for naming conventions, WP:COMMONNAME, as well as the previous discussions of this issue at Talk:Kiev/naming and its archives. We apply the most common spelling of names used in English-language sources. Please do not change these spellings without discussion at the talk page of the article. - And I'll chime in here: do NOT change the spelling/transscription of names and words to the modern Ukrainian versions, especially not names of individuals or entitites that predate the existence of the Ukrainian language by several hundred years, and the existence of the Ukrainian state by another few hundred years, as you did at Daniel of Galicia. We use the spelling/transscription that is in common use in the English-speaking world, and don't care the least what spelling/transscription is currently in use in the Ukraine. Continuing to make such changes will be seen as disruptive editing, and can lead to being blocked. Thank you. Thomas.W talk 15:06, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
