- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, S0091 (talk) 21:11, 6 November 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Muhammad Ali, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. David Biddulph (talk) 01:12, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Kerala Socialist Party. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. See MOS:CURLY - David Biddulph (talk) 01:15, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Muhammad Ali. You were warned to read Wikipedia:Citing sources, but you obviously haven't. David Biddulph (talk) 08:23, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
I posted relatable sources. You’re hiding information from the public because you’re a coward. https://www.frankwarren.com/the-night-the-greatest-became-a-dope-on-the-ropes/ Dannycav100 (talk) 08:31, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

- As well as reading about citing sources, you also need to read about personal attacks. - David Biddulph (talk) 08:34, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
How many more sources do you want? Here’s some more: do your research and stop deleting and hiding from the public information that I’m adding:

Do you want more sources?? Or is this not reliable enough for you because you seem to be bias and hiding information. Dannycav100 (talk) 19:12, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Dannycav100, cite the Times article rather frankwarren.com but do not put in the lead. See WP:ERB for how add a citation. S0091 (talk) 19:25, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Ping User:David Biddulph|David Biddulph]], The Times article does support the content, Gale A507386880. Danny, you do need cite sources when you add content and always use the most reputable. I can see why David Biddulph reverted you. I am not sure if you have ever cited a source but do give it try as it is required. If you mess up, I or someone else can fix it. David Biddulph is correct, your response was an attack. You can comment about content but should not say disparaging things about editors as that can lead to being blocked. - @David Biddulph fix ping. S0091 (talk) 19:50, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

Okay I’m sorry to David I apologise I wasn’t intending it to seem like an attack so I am very sorry. I haven’t cited a source before and honestly I had no idea what he meant at the time because I thought when I posted the link that was citing but I was wrong. My mistake, it won’t happen again. I will try to figure out how to do this citation and edit the page properly. I will read through the things you sent and thank you. Dannycav100 (talk) 19:51, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
When you said don’t put the lead by the way what did you mean by that? Dannycav100 (talk) 19:53, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- See WP:Lead, it is the beginning part that summarizes the article and before the first section. In this case, the lead is everything before the Early life section. No problem with not understanding things so a better response to David Biddulph would have been "I'm new and do not understand what you are trying to tell me, can you help me?". Also, the Teahouse is a great place to ask questions or get help about editing editing Wikipedia. There's a lot to learn! :) S0091 (talk) 20:01, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
Okay I understand so nothing in the section before ‘Early life’ on the Muhammad Ali page so nothing in the introduction section :) I agree with you my bad on that and it won’t happen again and once again I apologise to David. Thank you for the Teahouse link too and the link and support I appreciate it. :) Dannycav100 (talk) 20:09, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- If you think it is warranted in the lead, then start a discussion on the article's talk page to gain consensus (read that, it will help you understand Wikipedia's ethos). Leads are sensitive matters especially on a high profile article like Muhammad Ali so best to tread cautiously. Also, your sandbox is a great place to practice something before you actually make an edit. You can find a link to your sandbox (which likely still red if you have not created it yet) at the top right of the page or maybe underneath the "person" icon (Wikipedia renders differently depending on desktop or mobile so not sure what you see). Just type something and click publish will create the page, then you can use it to practice whatever (adding a citation, creating an infobox, laying out an edit, etc.) S0091 (talk) 20:32, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- Oh, and another thing, folks are unlikely to see anything you post here unless you ping them. I noticed this conversation because your talk page is on my WP:Watchlist due to be leaving you a Welcome message but just happened to be online. You can also go to their talk page and post a message. If you want to practice either pinging or posting on someone else's talk page (see WP:TP) you are welcome to practice on me. Also be aware of WP:INDENT. Like I said, lots to learn! S0091 (talk) 20:43, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
Ahh okay that’s perfect, I can practice on sandbox which will be helpful to me so I maybe make less mistakes in the future :) Oh wow I never knew about pinging! That’s a good idea I will have to look into all the things you send to get a better understanding of all these things and thank you:) Dannycav100 (talk) 20:48, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
