Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Danny-m-thomas, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Theranos does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Shibbolethink ( ) 01:58, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Preparation H has been reverted.
Your edit here to Preparation H was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFkIZ-Zf32Y%7Cyoutube) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:52, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Danny-m-thomas, thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia articles. However, I noticed that you added several "In popular culture" sections without independent reliable secondary sources. Generally, such entries should only be added if they have been covered by such independent secondary sources (for example in a review or news coverage). The inclusion of mere passing mentions and other relatively minor usages is generally discouraged. Regarding "reliable" sources, you'll find a comprehensive guideline to identify such sources at WP:RS (blogs and forums for instance are not considered reliable). I hope these tips are helpful, but please feel free to ask if you have any further questions. You can also post for advice at WP:Teahouse, a good forum for new editors. Best regards. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Trevor Perrin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I've declined this deletion request, but the article does appear to be very far from finished, more like a set of notes for writing an article, so I've moved it to Draft:Trevor Perrin, where you can expand it and move it back when it's ready. (Technically you can move it back right now, but if you do it's likely to be deleted.) -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 02:49, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't notice there was an existing draft, so I moved the (recreated) article into userspace: User:Danny-m-thomas/Trevor Perrin. @Danny-m-thomas: There are now two drafts for this article:
Which one would you like to keep? And please stop recreating the article in mainspace; it is not ready yet. --Chris | Crazycomputers (talk) 04:20, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
