[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CDFOODS123.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Unspecified source for Image:Quad FEELING RESCAN01.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Quad FEELING RESCAN01.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:26, 11 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 14:26, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Talk:Luís Otavio Bonilha de Oliveira, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. The article Denner Paulino Barbosa has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed a file deletion tag from Denner Paulino Barbosa. When removing deletion tags, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. English translation

[edit]

Hi Daniel

Many of your articles have been nominated for deletion because of notability. There is also a problem with understanding the text written in some of these. If you have been using an online translator such as Babelfish, please note that these cannot be relied upon to make good translations. An example is the text of the article Willian Arão, which shows how limited tools like Babelfish are when dealing with language concepts such as metaphor. The result is barely comprehensible and unintentionally funny.

Have you heard of Simple English Wikipedia*? You will probably find it more rewarding to contribute there and - if you want to improve your English - will find others with the same goal willing to help. Plutonium27 (talk) 19:23, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Antonio Carlos Cunha Capocasali Junior, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page RJ (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Nomination of Matheus Cotulio Bossa for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Matheus Cotulio Bossa is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Matheus Cotulio Bossa until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Sir Sputnik (talk) 03:39, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Picture from website Meutimao.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Picture from website Meutimao.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 06:53, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Igor Fernandes da Silva Araujo has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ... discospinster talk 04:33, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alexandre Pato stats

[edit]

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that when making statistical updates such as your edit at Alexandre Pato you must update the entire stats table according to the source/sources and then also update the date of when the table was last updated. Now it says it was updated 11 October, which is incorrect. The same is for infoboxes where the pc-update or clubupdate parameter must be updated to the correct time and date (done best by using ~~~~~). Thank you. QED237 (talk) 12:34, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have told you about the timestamps. Next time I have to start with warning templates and if that dont work, a block. QED237 (talk) 11:06, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Paolo Guerrero‎. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Your were repeatedly told to update the time stamps (as in the section above). What is your problem? Such edits as yours introduce factual errors to articles and are considered vandalism. --Jaellee (talk) 19:14, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox dates

[edit]

Hi, when updating club stats in the infobox you should update the |pcupdate= or |club-update= parameter by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 23:29, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep this in mind. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:21, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I see you've still not taken this on board. Please start updating the timestamps, every time to update a player biography. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:16, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And Danilo Gabriel de Andrade is another one that's not had the timestamp updated for over three years! Please take the above on board. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:39, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Please do the dates by adding the five tildes, rather than writing them manually, not least because you've been failing to capitalise the month. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:16, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Table dates need updating too. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:26, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Please taken on board what you've already been asked to do: to write five tildes (~~~~~), rather than write the date manually and not bother to capitalise the month. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:02, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
